today, my family ate at ours, and my cousin did not want soup.
after half an hour of fighting, i decided imma be eating in my room alone.
cousin asked to join me with his soup.
b4 i went to the toilet, his bowl was full.
remember. he did not want to eat.
after i came back, he had no soup.
after i finished mine, i wanted to play on my brand new xbox one.
and it's disc tray was flooded.
with soup.
my cousin pourd his soup into my 600 euro xbox 1.
just for not eating.
and at the end of the evening, he said:
i'm hungry.
i'm hungry
i'm hungry
i'm hungry
I'M HUNGRY
I'M HUNGRY
I'M HUNGRY
I'M HUNGRY.

Eh that sounds like something that a toddler would do. Toddlers aren't stupid, toddlers wouldn't know that it was stupid to hide their food in the tray of an x-box 1 and your cousin didn't know you'd be the one to find the soup, and your cousin probably was hungry cause well he hid the soup in the x-box 1. Toddlers are... well they're toddlers, quite innocent indeed. ^.^

In all seriousness, sorry to hear about the game system, I think your cousins parents should have to replace it.

Not a single toddler I have met has poured soup onto an expensive item. I would be in the biggest trouble in my life if I did that.

I would ask for an NX from them if I were you. He was a brat to you, and knew it was one of your prized possessions.

I was ninja'd smilie

He is 12!!! I would lose all my electronics for a year!!!

12? Then his parents should definitely replace the game system.

Are you saying that he poured soup inside the disc drive of your Xbox One?

You can still recover it, just open it up (seek parent's assistance) and use a hair dryer to dry everything. This is not a garruntee but it's worth trying.

I would highly recommend not trying to open it up at home, but if there is no way to get it fixed anywhere else...

Only use it as a last resort, it has saved my electronics before (I spilt tea over my laptop), but don't do it yourself. Check online, there may be a repair shop local to you, it may be expensive but it'll be worth it (unless it's more expensive than the original price for the xbox).

Wouldn't that fry everything? I've heard that doing that really isn't a good idea.

I... just... wow...

I'd see if you can get it repaired, or just have him/his parents get a new one.

It could which is why there's no garruntee that it'll fix it, however, I've read and have tried the method myself before with successful results. Again, it's a last resort, search for a repair shop/ technician first but it's better to try the method than to just, well throw the xbox in the trash.
