If I may suggest the Sea Shadow for villain pursuit? Whack em with the secondary fire (Triangle for PS3/4), and then the Primary (Square) and you'll whittle them down in virtually no time.

Essentially to unlock the levels for Time Trial and Villain pursuit, you've got to do the Single race at least once on any difficulty. Completing the villain pursuits unlocks the Supervillain cup, and completing that unlocks the mirror cup/tracks.

So there.

I'm a bit unhappy that I'm paying a new game price just to unlock these two tracks, and even then I can't access all the content until I "prove" myself. Granted it's a low barrier of entry but still.

Personally I'd like to see MORE tracks, 12 total is kind of low, especially considering how many tracks the 3DS version is rocking.

I also wish more villains were available, you do the Supervillain cup and you've got others who aren't playable!

I'm using Sea Shadow on the first one, Then using Mesmerelda because shes #OP
Not sure If I'll use the other villains. I think I'm going like this

Spellslamzer: Wave Singer (Mesmerelda's Vehicle)
Frightbeard: Reef Ripper
Golden Queen: (MAYBE) The Lil' Phantom Tide (Frightbeard's vehicle)
