Basically just want to get discussion going for what stats should be prioritised for racing. This would influence what vehicle you use, and/or which mods you use.
I'm assuming top speed would be pretty important, but I'm wondering how much priority things like accel, armour and weight should have. Haven't done any water content, handling probably isn't important for sky but might be important for land because of the naturally bad handling. Maybe people can get around that and just go for stats like top speed though.

i don't think you'll ever be able to come to a consensus on this. Depending on the vehicle, a lot of these things are more important then others . the tracks matter a lot too.
e.g. With a high amount of jumping wrecking your top speed might not be that important as acceleration. Top speed really doesn't mean that much if you can't maintain it. Top speed may be the best thing for hot streak seeing is all it's designed for is to get to the front of the pack no matter how many times it spins out. But other stuff like the shark tank can be different. Even with top speed mods it's still not as fast as others. It might be better to focus on other stats. Focusing on its ability to not spin out at all during a race with its high armour and ability to dive to avoid attack and tiki damage may be the best way. Just winning through consistency. I think it really just comes down to personal preference. In all 3 race types you don't know how important handling is until you tried both ends of the spectrum . Same for acceleration and armour really .

I don't even understand what vehicle armour does. Does it just mitigate damage, or does it give a %chance to ignore an attack like it does for Skylanders? I'm assuming weight is for collision physics and possibly damaging other vehicles?

For upgrades i used to go all weapons because I saw shields pointless
But since I now always do hard more i basicly get OHKO'd by the tiki or vehicle weapons So now i go all shield and not much weapons

Competitive racing assumes that you'll have both your weapon and shield stats maxed out. That's not what this thread is about because there's no choice to make, you can just upgrade both. We're talking about what stats to prioritise with your vehicles and/or their mods. For example, whether it's better to go with top speed vehicles or mods, or whether it's better to prioritise armour etc. |

Ok
I'm basicly all about speed so i mostly go with mods that boost speed and acceleration, which works well Though sometimes when using hot streak i use the armor mods and just spam drift and nitro boost to keep in the lead, works well also,

Oh yeah, the 3DS version is REALLY tight on the racing, plus the sheer variety of tracks blows the Console versions out of the water, along with all the different game modes. That said, it's racing and nothing else, which amusingly makes the Superchargers the first Skylanders to NOT have another set of powerups in the 3DS titles.
