You can't earn Skystones in specific places. It's random.

Ran through the whole game and faced everyone in skystones nothing yet

I'm actually missing that too, got a nasty feeling you've gotta win it from
Kaos during his daily match, and since I keep getting unlucky/suck at it, I've only beaten him once for his personal stone and crown.
