Still want to know how this guy figured it out. Instead of getting up people for asking he should probably just say what he did, like he doesn't have to tell the exact details. Because if someone gets all high and mighty because some one just asked how they got it generally that means they're defending themselves and are lying about it.

I'm thinking he went through the patch that got released to fix Nightfall, possibly.

I honestly expected a gill grunt variant. 5 games. 10 grunts. No in-game variant

I only count In-Game variants, and this counts booth E3 and Gold Hot Streak. Maybe you forget it.

I forgot the Pop Fizz variant. Ok that's 23. Well if you're getting it all it's getting to look not all that unfamiliar from last year. I'm dropping variants next year for sure.

It's prob cheaper for them to develop less figures and then just swap out the colors (making variants) less designer cost etc i would think, no?

I guess so but sometimes they also change the material itself.
But yeah... In terms of characters this entry feels incredibly cheap...

It's a pity because I would have loved to have an awesome cast to get along with this outstanding game... :/

I like the small cast in this game. Makes the few that are in it more special and encourages you to try some of your old favourites at the same time. The game content is actually relatively appropriate to the amount of characters for once . Hope they keep the same basic formula for the future.

They just did what people wanted too. People complained they couldn't get all 100 trap team figures so instead they just made 40 that everyone will have access to over the next year in various forms.

Al the variants mentioned above are alt decos, right? I mean, there may be more chase variants coming around, right?

I wonder... If this is true and if Double Dare is going to be in the Land racing pack, would this mean we could be getting a Power Blue Land Racing Action Pack?

I understand your point of view and have to say I kinda agree.
I really liked how Giants only had 16 new Skylanders, it definitely made the "emotive connection" easier... But they were still 2 characters per Element.
Maybe last year it was a bit too much but this year is definitely not enough... I mean... 20 characters would have done it... Not 10, since the remaining 8 cannot be considered as true new Skylanders.

Vehicles kinda help... But it's not the same under many aspects.

If only variants could really do that... I would like to remember Jet-Vac got 2 Legendaries, a Lightcore, a Mini (which also got a variant)... And yet was reposed not one, not two but three times (four if you also want to count Pet-Vac).
Sadly variants are not a way to avoid reposes... They are an extra...

Oh and people should frankly stop complaining having too much to buy.
I won't say "no one forces you to buy them all" even if it's true because everyone is free to do what he/she wants and should be able to do it... But no one forces you to buy them all the moment you see them in stores.
We had roughly a year to collect Trap Team figures and expansions and here we only have 40 new figures and 3 "Adventure Packs".
And a lot of that is already out.

Everyone of us could technically collect all the characters if he's patient enough.
I only got Camo, Warnado and Wham-Shell after Giants came out... Waiting is not a problem.

They better not. I'm already stuck on the Sky Racing Pack dilemma

I think the Power Blue variants will all be in a single pack containing DDTrigger Happy and both vehicles, similar to the pack with SSTerrafin, Shark Tank and Jet Stream.

Maybe a Power Blue Triple Pack (Splat, Gold Rusher, Splatter Splasher).

Touche. I think I'm just going to stick to skylander variants only and stay away from the vehicles. That should reduce the stress and bulk up the pocket book. They must think we're really not paying attention to what they did this year with the trap support.

Hmmm....Pop Fizz sounds interesting. I'll wait to see what that looks like before I get him. I already have a "traditional" Pop from other games so I do not mind getting only the variant version for this game.

First off, Power Blue Splat and her Power Blue Splatter Splasher are on my wanted list. Secondly, I really wish there were more than one Legendary Vehicle. I'd choose the Tomb Buggy, the Sky Slicer, and the Reef Ripper for that matter.

Man, this is a lot of alt deco's. I've never heard of Missile Tow Dive-Clops and Birthday Bash BBPF I have no idea what Missile Tow Dive-Clops would look like.

As for Birthday Bash, I'm going to guess it will be released sometime next month around the time SSA was released, when Skylanders turns 4 years old. However there was no confirmation of a release date and could be released later, which sounds I-don't-know. Unless they pull off another surprise release at the time.

That's where you are wrong! (I think...) Splatter Splasher was discovered during the Skylanders.com leaks; wasn't it?
Either way, I distinctly remember a third Nitro (and going back there has made me confirm that two Nitros were discovered that day, based on the dialogue, since all the images were removed and all the links broken; worse the Nitros were always posted as images, never links, so we don't have url confirmation)

There was a Nitro Soda Skimmer but never a Splatter Splasher.
