Just a thing: It's better to do a reason for why you don't like a thing instead of just say that you don't like. It's good to put this in the rules. Just saying.
I dont like i cant use my potion and sky iron shield and time twister etc items anymore. I only really use those 3 regularly but i miss them.
They couldve at least made them do different things in the hub. I DONT WANT MORE MONEY lol
maybe allow some to be worn by skylanders e.g. attach a shield to there arm or back, attach a potion to their belt. i wouldnt even mind them not having any effect other then clothes. Like trinkets at least.
---
SA & Giants are the best skylanders games. I miss the old style.
I don't like the vehicle controls and if you take out the vehicle sections the levels are kind of small(in comparison to swap force and trap team) and i also don't like the fact that the voice actor for Flynn sounds bored most of the time.
--- Fools! I've had it up to here with your incompetence! Actually no, even higher..up to HERE!
the final battle against the Darkness, damn ring race bs
I don't like the racing mode
I don't like my magic/adventure items just unlocking legendary treasures for the hub
I don't like being unable to play as villains in this game
I don't like the removal of Brock's arena ( and to a lesser degree, Kaos Doom Challenge )
I don't like how they chose to lock half the race tracks behind trophies over doing more adventure packs to add new levels
Can't "properly" skip prerendered cutscenes
Just like SF, you have to wait for the option loads. This may not sound like an issue, until you replay a level or get put back into a stage for Tessa's quests.
Skystones is sluggish and slow.
Simple fix, just make the attack animations skippable.
Car portions are mandatory
Skylanders and their combat is the core of the game, and I feel that the car sections distracted from that in a bad way. The shock puzzles also count as a mandatory distraction, but they're short.
It's not wrong to try new things, but it should enhance the game - not distract.
Another thing that bugs me is that it doesn't matter who's driving.
There are no new/returning dragon playable characters
Personal pet peeve, but REEEEEE
Vehicles are a bad "investment"
They cost more than a character ("but they have moving wheels!" so do Hot Wheels), take up a lot of space on the portal, and just like all non-character gimmicks, who knows how supported they'll be in the future? I can see them making future racing spinnoffs, but is each game going to shoehorn in fully-featured vehicles?
Magic items do nothing
I didn't rely on items, but removing function of them put a bad taste in my mouth. Having vehicle powerups look like the magic items is insult to injury.
However, I really like that you can decorate the academy with items (until they mysteriously put themselves away) and would love to see more customization options.
Vehicle bosses are a pain. They last too long without changing mechanics enough to be interesting.
except Wreck-o-saurus and the tube portion of Darkness
I went through on nightmare mode, so yes, things do lots of damage to you! But it's particularly annoying in the free-range vehicle sections when you lose a skylander because you clip something that you can barely see on the screen. It's not the camera's fault. Maybe they could've gave you a shield buffer after you're defeated?
The camera is too close/centered on sky vehicles.
No arena/on foot modes for postgame
Arena and Doom challenges were great, where are they?
The fact that my wallet is dead R.I.P

Me-NOT FOR LONG [female dog]!
Skystones used to have a 'skip animation' option in the TFB games, it was just stupid to remove it. Pretty sure Smash skipped your turn automatically if you had no spaces left so a skip turn button is pointless.
I don't like the fart joke put there to fill their kiddy quota.
I wish the screen showed when it was done loading instead of having me spin the analog stick to see it.
Quadrupeds drive vehicles nicely with even less clipping than bipedals, VV, you have no excuse now.
I think other people covered the rest, or nothing else annoys me too hard (or it's a glitch and not intended).
--- SO I'LL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT
(What I need is never what I want)
Also, the Academy is painfully lackluster. I was hoping the inside would have new rooms and expanded on the rooms from Trap Team. It blows my mind that there's almost nothing inside. It's more empty then TT's Academy from an exploration stand point, but has more to do content wise. I wish we got a perfect mix of both.

Hey is there anything you want me to bring for the rest of the week and if so it’s so cool that you can do something and just do it like that
Also, I hate the controls.
Acceleration with a shoulder button rather than Mario Kart controls is just weird and completely unnessicary, and I hate how you can't use L/R for tertiary/secondary attacks anymore.
The only reason I don't complain about it much is because the on-foot controls were obviously changed to free up buttons for the hub customisation. But seriously, it couldn't have been an option? I still press L/R habitually sometimes- that was SO much better. It feels cramped using the face buttons for jumping and all attacks.
The vehicle controls just suck and have no justification, though. They still don't feel as tight as they should even if you get used to the dumb button mapping. MK-style controls should have been an option.
I have a bigger issue with the terrible handling than the actual controls personally....and the fact that the racing itself it just plain TERRIBLE
I wanted an expanded version of the Kaos mode from Trap Team, or at least some kind of arena. As it stands you have to use checkpoints to get to good combat zones if you like to fight on foot...and you CAN do that, if you want, but it'd be a lot better to simply have it as a game mode. I also think that PVP should be a thing, even if they don't like balancing it. It doesn't need to be balanced well. We already accept that some Skylanders are usually better than others.
On this note, I feel like there should be a topic ranking the best checkpoints to load up for people who want on-foot combat.

Driving, Flying, Sailing. There are heaps of racing games on the market, Skylanders using a racing/flying/boating gimmick is just lazy and stupid. I hate every vehicle section with a passion.
I hate (yes truly hate not just dislike) that there are no elemental gates and the collection of collectibles is random.
Also now that I know my magic items won't work the way they used to, I really dislike that as well.
I've only just started playing it so I'm sure there will be more things that I hate. Good job ZapNorris for starting this post. It's good to try to keep all the negativity in the one place.

How do you hate every vehicle section with a passion if you only just started playing the game? Clearly you haven't done most of the vehicle sections. I don't think the point of the topic was hatred for the sake of hatred.

I have done a few of the vehicle sections for my youngest son who was having trouble getting through them. So even though I've only just started playing on my game save, I have gone through a few vehicle sections.
So I wouldn't say it's hatred for the sake of hatred, it's just that I actually hate it.

Completely agree with this, especially with all the Legendary Treasures. There's so many of them, but so little space to put them...
Not explaining the escape of all the Villians from trap team was trap teams problem. You don't write a deadend story point and expect the next guy to deal with it. This has been well advertised that they'd HAVE to ignore much of trap teams story in any future games.
Again, that's a trap team problem not a Superchargers problem.
---
Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. That's 27225 challenges. No thank you.
Quests are a disappointment
They made them Supercharger-exclusive, no new ones for old characters, and of the ones I've tried all are the same "kill enemies with X attack", then the same thing with vehicles, then the Supercharger's challenge
They added a bit of unique dialogue which is neat but doesn't improve the Quests' lazy design at all
I don't like how the game leaves Kaos escaping after TT unexplained
It's a major plot point that's totally handwaved and never bought up
As someone who dislikes and doesn't read the comics I felt left out
I also don't like how there's no explanation for the Superchargers or vehicles being frozen
And how the characters speak directly to you during the intro (which was awesome) and never again
Pretty much the rest of the game, NPCs only speak to your Skylander and ignore you, the Portal Master
Been a problem since Giants but still bothers me, especially after the intro was really well-done in that regard
Also, online co-op can be extremely glitchy at times, but runs well usually
I'm pretty sure SC is before TT, but Mags and Buzz make me think otherwise... So I am confused.
Because Traptanium is in the game too.
They did need to show how he escaped.

Hey is there anything you want me to bring for the rest of the week and if so it’s so cool that you can do something and just do it like that
Story was too short
Not enough to do postgame
No pvp
No arenas
Final battle
Forced to use land vehicles
Too few race tracks even with all trophies
Reposes of characters I hate ( )
TFB gives a few seconds of loading with a static screen for skipping at any time(though there's 'mandatory' dialogue in TT). VV gives you almost 2 minutes waiting(read: spinning the analog to reveal the skip button) and you won't be told when it's done.

What system are you playing on? I never waited more than 5 seconds to be able to skip cutscenes and definitely never more than 10 seconds for any skip of any dialogue. Almost 2 minutes, I can't believe that any system is loading that slowly. Most scenes aren't even 2 minutes long to begin with.

WiiU, I stay for a LONG time waiting. It's also the digital version, which might explain it,but doesn't make it less annoying.
Both companies have done a pathetic job with their Wiii U versions, having owned Swap Foce and Trap Team on both the Wii U and Xbox One. This is why I ignored the Amiibolanders.
So far, my biggest problem with the game is the lack of arena/doom challenge. I'm one of those players who likes to just go mindlessly fight waves of ennemies with whoever I feel like playing without interruption.
The unskippable cutscenes also bother me but at least they are shorter than the ones in Swap Force.
Yes I know you can skip them after a while but it takes so long they are already almost over by the time the game let you do so. So I usually just mute my TV and play the figures or check my messages while waiting.
---
Don't mind me, I'm just not a very talkative person.
I don't have the Amiibolanders, I just happened to switch to WiiU since I wanted to play online(not wanting to pay for X360 online since it's a dying console) and other games I like(Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101) are there and I wanted to play them someday.

Whilst I've come to like the cart-like racing of the land vehicles, I dislike having to be forced to play the gimmick simply to complete a level. And the fact that the game attempts to crow-bar the gimmick into the gameplay as much as possible is quite annoying.
I admittedly like the appearance of the vehicles, but what puts them down as a bad thing in my book is how temperamental they can be on the portal, especially Hot Streak.
No PvP BattleBrawl. Missed the boat by a country mile on this fact.

Uhm... In Trap Team's case, I'm 99% sure that either a TON of Sony/Microsoft Players had faulty discs, or the Wii U version was the least buggy BY FAR...
Only glitches I've had were in Time Town... 1 where the Enemy gate won't open partway through the level, and another where cross crow won't spawn... I think there was a third glitch I found more recently, but, I can't for the life of me remember what it is... There was nothing game breaking about any of the bugs I'd encountered...
SWAP Force was handled UTTERLY terribly on the Wii, are you sure you didn't play it with a Wii disc on the Wii U?
(because the Wii and Wii U are actually 2 different games, the systems are formatted differently, etc...)
There may have been a bug or two there as well... But I haven't played that in a while...
The loading times in Superchargers is because the game was developed ON PS4, and for comparable systems... Wii U might be able to handle it better than PS3 or XB360, but it's still no match for XBONE or PS4... (the worst glitch I've uncovered in Superchargers was where one of Tessa's Quests got "Completed" before I was finished with the objective... [Rematch with the pirate guy at Battle Brawl Island, I got him down to 1/3 health, was dodging around bc low health, and then *pop up* "Mission Accomplished"])
Edit: Okay, I'll bite...
What I don't like about this game (which for me is a MINOR grievance), is how Magic Items were nerfed, we should at least be able to use them like always in main levels, yes?
But having Sparx follow me around WITHOUT a timer in the hub makes up for it
Another thing I don't like is how HATERS come to a SITE for FANS, (hence the term FANsite), and act like their entitled to voice their opinions freely... Start a HATERsite (call it LightKaos or LightMalefor or something) if you want to freaking hate on the game, or go to GameFAQS, which is neutral ground, because this FANSITE is a SITE for FANS to speak their mind, not HATERS.
Don't come hear to talk about how bad this game is, if you've got an issue or two, that's FINE, but if the list of things you HATE about the game is longer than the list of things you LIKE, your no FAN, so GET OUT!
If you still like the franchise, go vent somewhere more general...

Did it ever cross your mind during your lecture on who you think should or shouldn't be able to comment on this FAN site, that many of the people commenting are FANS and in fact love Skylanders? For example I am hating way more about this game than I am liking, but Skylanders is the only game I play. I have recently gone back and replayed SSA and SG and loved every minute of playing them again. I'm not a fan of VV's versions but SSF had its good parts.
I love having the chance to vent about the things I hate about this game on the off chance that someone from Activision, TFB and/or VV might just read it (we know they read these boards right) and hear what my grievances are. Sure they might not agree with the things I say, but at least by being able to post them on here I feel like I've had a chance to have my frustrations heard.
So perhaps at least some of the people who come on here and complain are doing so because they would like to see the game improve the next time around. Just look at some of the comments about PVP Battle Mode, KAOS' Doom Challenge etc. Wouldn't it be great if the things that a lot of people obviously want got added back in because the powers that be read these types of posts and then acted on the fans wishes?
