I was just thinking that Skylanders is so perfectly set up for this as an online game mode. Tons of varied characters with their own movesets! And I bet there's tons of kids out there who see League/Dota as the cooler game their older bros and such are playing, and would love to get a simpler version of it for themselves. Maybe for the next Skylanders now that it has online co-op?

for the next skylanders game they make an online only game kinda like splatoon and they could have special modes for the vehicles and for those with traps or the special skylanders like swap force trap team or giants

Well…**I was talking online, and teams of skylanders vs. each others with pushing and pulling across the map and NPCs battling it out.

It is strange they took out all PVP elements though!

Sad that in SSC they introduce online, yet no PVP?
Swap Force was the last game to have PvP

An open world game that can connect to an internet MMO type world would feel immense!
If we can get massive maps into Skylanders I'd be all for it

Yeah if they nailed Skylanders moba mode online I would be playing that game for the whole year and bringing out a bunch of old Skylanders to try again. Here's hoping!

I don't care for mobas but got the impression that Skylanders would work well with it right away.

It is pvp, but it's on a larger map with objectives and AI enemies on both sides/neutral to fight.

You could just take Doom challenge, add an opposite side of the arena for the other team, and that's basically it.
Each team would have to defend their chest from the other team, with breaks for switching out or upgrading facilities.

No story reason for Skylanders to fight eachother? It's friendly sparring/trainng.

If you wanted to go full moba, you could temporarily reset their power/stats at the start and can buy upgrades during the match.

I would love that moba mode on the next skylanders.

I would also love traditional PvP, or even 2 players vs 2 Players.

What's a moba? I'm going to take a guess: is it a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena?

Skylanders Universe was fairly a good game to play around. Let's hope for Block-Fu playable against online and local players (other than just VS COM).

If there's news about the rebirth of this dead franchise, I'd be glad from my boredom.
