Not at all. All the elements catch stuff. Just like Bowser and DK fit. It's getting over color pallets and sticking guys where they're environments are or powers derive from.

-Sonic: Life. Because his original purpose was to free the animals from being robots and save the forests and animal kingdoms.

-Tails: Air, becuase he flies and is a good pilot.

- Knuckles: Magic, because he is the protector of the master emerald. He could also be air as he is able to glide and even fly through his ki energy (in the japanese version).

- Shadow: Dark. HE is the dark version of Sonic.

- Sly cooper: Dark, because he is very similar to nightshade (the villain in STT)

- Pit: Light. He is an angel, and angels come from the light, just like Knight Light.

I hate to be that guy, but Star Fox is the team, the CHARACTER is Fox McCloud.....I'd say tech for his element btw, with an Arwing as a tech sky vehicle

Rash, Pimple & Zitz are the BattleToads, a classic game series from Rare back in th NES & SNES days. The original NES game & the arcade game are in Rare Replay for Xbox One ( and the Toads are a bonus boss battle in the X1 version of Shovel Knight ). And how do you not know who Mr Clean is? You've never see then bald dude on those cleaning products?

Agree pretty much but Earthworm Jim has to be earth and Tails has to be air.
While the others would be far fetched unless Nintendo continues these crossovers, I am still hoping for the day to get Crash. He just fits in to this realm so well and we haven't seen his games in so long even though they were such great platformers.

I don't think just because you fly you are air. Otherwise Spyro, Cynder, the rest of the flying dragons, all insects, and a chunk of tech would be air. "Flyers" can come from a good number of elements.

Except flying is Miles Prower's defining attribute! That, and being a tech wiz...
NOTHING about what he can do ties him in to the Life element... At least AFAIK
Tech or Air, pick your poision, or explain your reasoning for Life... (and it can't be because "he's a forest creature")

Isn't origin most Skylanders elemental definer? Saying "he flys and so should be air" is just as silly as "he once lived in a forest so should be life". If the tails are natural, life is in the running. If it was a science experiment, tech is now in the lead. If it was Chaos Emerald magic, magic should be on the table.

Not saying life is choice, it's why I'm curious. And while flying is the defining attribute, what other elemental vehicles have a sky designator? (Though I admit this was for design ease with special elemental areas as much as anything else).

Nah, Pit fits air more, despite him not being able to fly. If he was light, he'd be too similar to Knight Light.

Hell, why not make him earth as a joke? He can't fly, so why not he be grounded to earth!

Attack 1 would be his spin attack
Attack 2 would be his bazooka from wrath if cortex
Attack 3 could be using aku-aku as a shield like in crash of the titans
