Just to confirm, do you need to change the date (PS4) each time before reloading Skylanders Academy through the Map?

I'll be sure to try this! But i'm to lazy to reset the date so I'll just wait the next day. But this helps a lot! Better then going to the beginning of Rift to Skylands constantly.

Reminds me of the easy money trick from Giants. You had to quit the game after collecting the final gold hoard at the top of Flynn's ship to avoid a save, then restart the game. On Wii U all you had to do was log out/log back in and it would take you to the main menu without saving so you can do it again.

I remember how in TT you could get 9k gold in 3 minutes doing the first level with Chomp Chest.

Is method doesn't seem to reward as fast. I'm still hoping for a faster method, and that's if I even care to upgrade my Superchargers.

You can get like 4000 coins in 2:30/3 minutes with this method, not bad.

But it all depends on how many magic items you actually own

dozens of times? I've never seen it. I had to use the reoload trick in Giants, and yes it's ineffecient...but I prefer this to grinding in levels. At least in Giants you could get on average 10k per load.

You're sounding burned out on this. Can't say I blame you.

Yeah, Lemons. This game was a huge let down.

Forced driving down boring paths or circular areas to get to the next on foot section, only to have little to no exploration really killed it for me.

Before the game came out I was like "this is VV. They have awesome ideas. Each vehicle section will different from the last." Boy was I wrong.

To top it off, magic items are reduced to nothing but cheap knick knacks for the academy. I guess I can see why they don't work in levels, cause they wanted to shove Hot Streak down your throat every 10 minutes.

Edit: I'm not burnt out. This was just the most boring entry due to how forced the vehicle gameplay was. Hopefully next years game will return things back to form.

As I'm continuing the game, the patterns of getting stars by doing the vehicle sections is feeling monotonous. Every level ends with a land section---sometimes a land section has a battle section within the level. I know they tried to compensate in other areas, but I can see how that could grate someone. Arkham Knight is my least favorite Arkham game just because of the tedious batmobile sections in it.

Frankly though, I think they did as good as they could've done. I'm guessing a third or more of the skylanders fans just don't like driving games.

I was all for the driving, until I saw they all played the same, minus two vehicle segments that played like old school games.

I kept thinking that since VV offered a lot of variety with Swap Force, any vehicle section in this game would play differently than the next.

Always next year, I guess.

I hope this trick will work with the Wii U version I want to upgrade my guys faster.

Here's an idea, though it may sound very monotonous and dumb, and I don't blame anyone for having that opinion. I suggest for those who play the Wii U and XBOX One in order:

1) Place all money-making Legendary Treasures in one place that'll fit all of them, such as the area with the Skystones Overdrive table, giant TV, and phonograph in all four game slots.
2) Turn off the console
3) Insert memory drive(s) with at least between 2 and 8 gigabytes.
4) Save Skylanders: SuperChargers game files in the memory drive(s) and then remove the memory drives to prevent accidentally game saving on them
5) Play SSC by breaking all the Legendary Treasures in the particular area you placed them (in all four game slots).
6) After that's done, quit the game
7) Upload previously-saved game files from a memory drive to your console(s) and then remove the memory drive(s) to prevent accidentally game saving on them
8) Repeat process number 5

Even though the money glitch has passed on, I've found another way to get a lot of gold for new Skylanders.
