Question for those with multiple save files... [CLOSED]

I have the Wii U version of the game and I like to do a full story run with a couple specific skylanders and I was wondering if your collection and portal master rank from the first save file is carried over to the other save file?

I've confirmed elsewhere already that at least on other platforms your portal master rank is tied to your system account, not to the save file. As a result, your rank is global. This was on XBO....maybe someone with a Wii U can confirm that behavior on that platform.
