Crusher. I looked about 6 weeks ago to see the price of all the Giants, and Thumpback was the priciest. They all can be found "on the cheap" at this point, but he was yielding the best price minus the alt skins.
As I looked today to cheaply help fill a friends collection, I noticed Crusher wasn't as cheap as he was. He is steadily climbing and is back to $15. This is due to the fact that the driver brings his stats over to the vehicle, in particular hit points. As Crusher is the biggest hit point sink created to date, he immediately gives value to some vehicles beyond what their drivers can in the "taking a hit" department.
Just figured I'd point this out for those contemplating selling him and to give folks the heads up who don't have this giant and plan to play online. He'd be a nice option to have and folks have already figured it out.

Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. That's 27225 challenges. No thank you. |

I don't think that retailers or players think of a price for figures based their in-game advantages, but I don't understand the price raise. Maybe Crusher become a little more popular after that boost in vehicles was discovered, and the stores use that popularity to increase the price.

How much health does he have? Because I'm pretty sure Eon's Elite have him beat... Those guys can reach an excess of 2000 hp if I remember correctly...
Tripled stats include health and damage... (Besides, Higher health makes healing elixir not work well, it'll only heal armor if health is full, and armor can take more hits than health... So you'll want LOW health to race, so using a matching supercharger for its damage boost is probably more useful

In game ability can increase popularity. Popularity increases sales. All of a sudden the $5 figures get scrapped up and soon after you're left with those wanting more for the figure. This is a simple supply and demand example. It doesn't matter what caused the demand, just that there was an increase and it is already having an effect. $20 for the 7 Giants out of the game box is a crazy deal. You're almost stupid to not take that if you don't have them yet. ANY 7 Skylanders for $20 you don't have is a must buy.

Have you seen Stealth Elfs hit points? There is a point where they are too low. And I forgot about Eon's Elites. Another stupid idea that makes implementing meaningful balanced PvP impossible.

This is what I trying to say. The figure have a price increase because of the popularity, not the game advantage directly.

Wait, so I can stick a Eon's Elite in a race and basically not die much? Do you lose speed or anything for not being supercharged?

As I said before, large health can screw you over, once you run out of armor, you take a LOT more damage... Armor can protect you from a LOT more hits than HP can... I'd rather have low up, so if I'm lucky enough to score an elixir on low Health that at least SOME of it will go towards repairing my armor... If you're out of armor, you're out of luck... Sure lots of health can keep you alive a LITTLE longer, but it'll only delay the inevitable, in fact, it will seal your fate COMPLETELY, because there's no way you're going to get back ANY of that armor or out of the red, when a single elixir only heals 750 health or so... The armor recovery is more valuable, and for every 75 health, I'd instead get back 1 unit of armor, which is far more useful imo... That's why low health is better, well, not Trigger Happy low, you need to tank at least TWO hits while vulnerable, but Spyro's ~800 is good... Bottom line: too much health and you won't be able to recover easily enough from losing all your armor, and you'll die before that happens, too little health and you won't last long enough to recover a armor and you'll die before that happens... If you need that extra health, then you're going to die, just a TEENSY bit later... Because biting into your health bar is digging your own grave... The less health you have the shallower it will be, and the greater chance you have of digging yourself out if it turns out you survive... The downside is, less health means it's less likely that you actually DID survive, so you need to find a balance between the two... Quote: Earth-Dragon
First, I was referring to Eon's Elite collectively. Second I said that Eon's Elite CAN reach an upwards of 2,000, not that they ALWAYS reach an upwards of 2000... I knew there were exceptions... Furthermore, have you seen Trigger Happy's health? Pretty sure it's lower than Stealth Elf's... It IS the lowest of any Spyro's Adventure character, you know...
