Doesn't work.

Got this message -

"This toy can't be used in this game. Visit the customer care website at support.activision.com"

I think that's the message if you try to put them on at the beginning of the game. If you try to swap them on during play it gives you a message that specifically references "Nintendo consoles." I'm at work with no access to my game, characters, etc., but can post the specific message when I get home if anybody needs it.

No this is what it had said when I placed my Bowser on my Portal.

How come when I make a topic about this, and post it multiple places, I don't get an answer? Anyway, I thought according to one article the day the Sky-miibos were announced they said there would be a "funny message when placed on a non nintendo console". Telling you to visit activision support doesn't sound like a "funny message" to me.

@mega spyro - Well, everyone has a different sense of humor. So maybe someone found it funny?

Yes, but when? I got that yesterday evening when placing Bowser on the portal randomly when the game was starting and I hadn't gotten to the hub world yet, when the "wonky portal" was still showing. However, on launch day, I didn't put any of the Amiibolanders or their vehicles on the portal until after I'd gotten into the game and/or reached the hub. When I did it at that point in the game I got a message specifically stating something akin to "Compatible only with Nintendo consoles." As it's been a couple of days and I'm not at home, I can't (yet) check both places for the difference in the message. In the event that it now has a universal message no matter when or where you attempt to put those characters on the portal, I'm going to be it was something that came with the last patch or two since launch day.

When I get into the game after choosing my save file and whenever I put Bowser on the portal.

Activision thought it was funny, since they're laughing all the way to the bank
