Loving the ways the levels are set up in this game but how do you check if you've found everything in the level. On the map it only shows if ur missing those chests with the wheels on them but nothing else.

That is the level progress, which is both good and bad. Good cause its less to keep track of, bad cause the same

I mean like in past games you could see that u had 3/3 chests found or if u got all soul gems or all the areas flind found. Stuff like that

There are only objectives now....each involving vehicles. That's all you are judged on. In terms of finding out what you have 2 or 3 stars on in a level...there's a map where you can select a level but I haven't seen a way yet to check on stars for a level. I heard the stars contribute to portal master somehow, but I haven't seen the connection.

How and what you can get stars for has gone down CONSIDERABLY. I'm a bit bummed about that actually. Getting credit for finding every nugget isn't a "thing" anymore in the game. (Example: completing a level on a given difficulty, collection accolades, etc)

Chests respawn aside for the roulette looking ones. Those give things like soul gems, and hats.

I see so the only "real" collectibles in levels now is the roulette chests? I guess that's good and bad. Good becuase it makes it easier to unlock everything, bad because it takes away from the collection and gaining 100% access. Especially with this new chapter system it would've been a lot better to go back to parts of a level to find every thing in it.

That is basically what it is allowing you to do now, it broke the levels into more bearable smaller chapters. This way you can stop say half way through a big chapter arc like it with the sock dragon and pick up earlier in that stage. It also help when your game glitches out and traps you with no way to get out and the only way to leave is by going back to the academy i did not need to do part one of that chapter just the stuff after that.
