SPOILERS below if you don't know how the new portal master rank bonuses work.

What's do you think is better upgrade for each of these choices:

Extra XP or gold

Extra gold or gearbits

I went with extra XP and gearbits, hoping that another easy money trick is discovered.

money is waaaaay too easy to come by. never pick the extra money upgrades

You can always change them every time you go to the Academy, so don't fret about it too much.

so are PM abilities limited ? how many can you have active at once?
Thinking about the elemental specific skylander upgrades that give them shields or damage boosts etc. Can you eventually have all these active at once or do you favour your favourite elements?

I like the idea of them being limited, forces you to focus on different power ups and objectives each time you play.

You have to have everything activated.

I'm guessing it stays limited. If you notice, you always have to choose between two opposing elements. You can have either Fire or Water active, but not both. Same with Magic and Tech, Earth and Air, Light and Dark, or Life and Undead.

I read in one of these threads that you can switch paths with any character when you get to the max portal master rank. Can anyone here confirm?

Never get money because there will always be enough. But XP and gearbits especially the latter are hard to come by.

How do you change the rank bonus from the one you originally selected?

While at the academy, go into Portal Master in the menu, then click Powers. Afterward, you should be able to go down to a set of powers of your choice, and select a different one.
