At the biggest Toys R us in south Houston and it's just Wave one minus dual packs still. Figured I'd give everyone the heads up not to bother unless they find out differently locally.

i dunno why wave2 should be out at all, wave1 have just been released.

Toys r Us has made a habit of launching wave 2 with launch ahead of other retailers. It was a safe assumption that it would happen again.Plus those pics of wave 2 supposedly from a TRU express kind if clinched the deal. Yet no go on launch day.

They shouldn't release wave 2 until they can figure out what to do with Nightfall.

Based on users here and some videos, yes. It's a real issue.

There's no reason for them to hold the rest of wave 2 because of Nightfall. It's not like they release everything with perfect pairing now anyway. Just release what they have as they have it. It's kind of what they do anyway.

i have never been treated to Wave 2 on day one ever... so i just found it strange that so many expected this.

We're used to it in the states...hence the entitled atmosphere I guess.

I've always wondered why they did it like this anyways. It would help the pre-Christmas Wave 3 wait easier if they spread this out some more.

I've always thought it would be fun if they did weekly releases of new figures - a new one each Sunday. As it is, every couple months you get a bunch of new ones and some get neglected.

Not so much entitlement (at least for my part) but more mild expectation. I mean if it happens more than once it's a reasonable expectation that it will happen again. The important thing is to not get butt-hurt about it lol. I said in the beginning that I am totally zen regarding this version. I'll get what I get, when I can get it and enjoy what I have....that being said I WANT A FREAKING BOWSER lol!!!

I think it's OK to be butt hurt this year though. Last year at launch, you were treated to a VERY healthy number of characters, even factoring out Wave 2, there were a lot of characters, same the year before.

This year? there were 5 characters to buy outside of Starter Packs, two of which are reposes (you can say reimagined, its still two characters we've seen for the past 4 entries). Vehicles are NOT the same as characters IMO and are more accessory than character, so the selection was 'barebones'. My TRU usually completely wipes the 'wall' in front of the registers and covers it in Skylanders stuff, along with their wall in the electronic section. They had so little inventory, especially worth putting out - this year - that it didn't even fill up the Skylander wall. We needed wave two just to have more characters and double packs. That actually ruined everything for 'me', I was NOT going to buy a stand alone Terrafin when he's got a double pack and a triple pack. We got a vehicle we can't supercharge because of no Nightfall...some of us (not me though) may have TWO of those vehicles.

So just for options sake we could have used Wave 2 this year. We got access to Stelath stinger and Smash It via variants, so that was healthy (can argue about the quality of Smash It). But we could really have used at least ONE double pack or triple, and one or two more characters.

My guess? It's really tied to DI3.0 and Lego. Lego is next week if I remember correctly (Wave 2 is right before then if rumors are right), and Darth Vader and I *think* the next expansion for DI3.0 come out early next week...so Wave 2 got pushed back a bit to steal a little thunder.

Yeah, perhaps strong...too lazy to articulate...we've gotten it...we wanted it...we didn't...we complained about it.

I have to admit I'm liking High Volt too from what I've seen. He'd be a welcome edition.

I think it's a little too early for Wave 2 to arrive.

I'm thinking 9/25 or 10/2 .

with only 40 figures im surprised theyd even try to release wave 2 straight way ( even though US toys r us used to get it same day).

Wave 1 with the starter packs and the 2 duel packs and golden queen pack is pretty huge. The first wave has nearly 20/40 of the figures. and from what we know is in wave 2, that doesnt leave many figure left for waves after that.

Since I've heard that Nightfall shipments are stopping that means ALL OF WAVE 2 does this mean 1. We will get wave 2 at a later date like november? Or 2.We get wave 3 within two weeks? If it is wave 3 than I'm happy as a monkey's grandpa at a dole plantation. I just don't want to work so hard for nothing since I've been doing overtime so much for the money (Chores and service that is I'm not an adult)

I hope it won't stop shipments of the wave 2 vehicles.

Err, no. Here we will get Wave 2 on release, so I'm sure the U.S is going to get them as well.

Keep in mind too, each year the game has come out sooner than the previous. Characters may not come out as quickly because of this. Just a thought.

They might resume shipment of wave 2, now that the game is patched and Nightfall works.

Weird, the Wii U isn't patched yet. I still think they will be recalled since they don't work on 3DS or Wii.

They wouldn't go through the trouble of a patch if they just planned to recall them. What's more, they are actively trying to push people off the Wii and onto the more modern platforms, so I can't imagine they will lose a LOT of money for a platform they don't care about. (Especially when the driver is basically cosmetic, since that is a pure racing game.) As far as Wii U not being patched, I expect that to come soon. They can only work so fast.

I have a feeling that the Wii version will get disc replacement on demand from people that complain.

The patch process takes longer for WiiU and XBox because of their certification processes. Sony isn't as thorough on validation, which is why patches usually show up there first.

The 3DS can and does get patches. It will just take longer.
