I obtainted the guidebook during the midnight release of Superchargers, and noticed that they list the playable Villains.
It's a rather small list, but here it is;



So, in short; No Krankcase (boo, I say), Pain-Yatta, or Chill Bill, apparently.

So, since I see only twelve villains, is Kaos unlockable in the Sky Trophy?

No, he just forgot to list Captain Frightbeard... So you'll STILL need the Dark Edition for Kaos... SORRY

Overall, I actually like the villain list a lot, I actually like how most of them aren't just the villains from Trap Team.

But you get to race against Pain-Yatta, right? I thought I saw the official FB account post a pic.

I can say you can only unlock villains that you race against, and that doesn't happen until you unlock the track with the villain you need to start down that journey. So it would appear all of that (along with mirror tracks) are locked with the trophy. Basically all you can do is race on the four tracks you get without trophies. And once unlocked, you still can't play as that villain without the trophy on the portal. Weird.

So Painyatta is in the game but only as someone you can race against?

Are Kaos' mom or Dreamcatcher in any of the game?

Actually, each villain has a pursuit minigame, which is basically a high speed boss fight similar to the Lord Stratosfear fight. Once you beat them there, you can unlock and play as them in any racing mission.

Bionichute do you have some gameplay to share? I would love to see Mesmerelda.

I don't own the Sea Racing pack, I just read it in the Strategy Guide.

Golden Queen and Mesmerelda are playable. That's good enough for me.

Only question is, are the villains limited to their terrain types?

Yes, Adam. You can't use Golden Queen's boat in Chompy Garden.

No, I mean... Well, yeah, obviously the vehicles wouldn't be able to be used on any terrain. But can you mix-and-match villains into different vehicles like you can with the Skylanders?

So what exactly does the Kaos trophy unlock other than Kaos himself? Are there some unique tracks unlocked with it? I only bought the standard version of the game. Am I missing out on anything else witout the kaos trophy?

Not really. He's ridiculously OP though, he has 1600 HP and has an attack that makes him invincible. It's ridiculous.

You can play with the villain that's unlocked in that vehicle area. It's constrained. The villain/vehicle are glued together.

I'm mostly excited for Glumshanks and Count Moneybone. Not sure if I'll bother tracking down a Kaos trophy just for Kaos...

Do you need to have the trophy on there to play as villains once you beat them to unlock them? Haven't tried sea trophy yet but Kaos trophy has to be on the portal to play as him

I noticed that too - if I put the Kaos trophy on, it swaps out the Skylander/Ride currently selected, but you have to be on a sky track otherwise the game won't let you proceed.

I don't know...I expected a bit more considering the Kaos trophy was the premium item for this year's dark starter, and last year's Kaos trap was a deliciously fun game-breaker (aka exactly how Kaos should play as). This just seemed very reduced in scope and execution.

What about Krankcase, Bomb Shell, Broccoli Guy, Tae Kwon Crow, Dreamcatcher, Gulper, Noodles, Hood Sickle, PainYatta, Bad Juju, Chill Bill and Threatpack? WHERE ARE THEY?

In the game but not playable.

He's still a ridiculously fun OP character like in Trap Team, it's just that he's limited now. Personally, I think Kaos should have been playable on every track type, but oh well.

Villains should be able to drive Skylander vehicles.

It's really too bad they missed out on adding Kaos' Mom, it fit perfect for this game considering....

My top picks for each terrain type are Glumshanks (Land), Golden Queen (Sea) and Wolfgang (Sky). I also like the look of Dragon Hunter, Frightbeard, Mesmeralda, Cap'n Cluck and Lord Stratosfear.

My guess is that he'll be an NPC that replaces the Mabu drivers... Which kind of sucks. Why go through the effort of giving a character an awesome vehicle if he's not even gonna be playable?

The overview trailer for Skylanders SuperChargers Racing on SkylandersGame's YouTube channel focuses on The Gulper for a brief moment. You don't think the other Villains might be unlockable in the Wii and 3DS versions as exclusive content, do you?

I think he might have been a cut boss from Cloudbreather's Crag, cuz he certainly isn't in the game anywhere else.

I'm not too sure about that, he doesn't match the Drow redesigns once you take a closer look - his colors are very saturated and vibrant, while they're blueish and mostly dark outfits. I think he's just a cut character in general(could've been anyone) or the Skystone theory that might be spoilers;
