Every single topic about Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser seems it just turns into nothing more than two thousand word essays for each post about "why they don't fit" or "why they do fit" or "why this is a bad idea" or "why this is a good idea"... And I am sick of it.

And before you post, no, I'm not just talking about people against them. The people defending them are just as bad.

If you like them, fine.
If you're indifferent toward them, fine.
If you don't like them, fine.

There. Can we please just leave it at that...?

I'm probably throwing a lit match on dry tinder, but I totally agree with you.

I haven't really been on the forum here for months while we've been playing other things, but with SSC coming out, I asked what I thought was a simple game design/play question about the Skymiibos and if their vehicles not matching their characters' elements would be an advantage or disadvantage for using them in the game and it turned in to a huge debate/argument. Maybe it was because I poorly worded my post subject.

I am amazed at how polarizing they are. If there was some Sony exclusive variant, I wouldn't care even though I only have Nintendo devices to play Skylanders on. I don't get why people are so passionate about attacking/defending these 2 "guest star" figures.

It ended up becoming a hot topic like TFB vs VV. No conclusion is ever reached and some people will get real heated over it for days.

People can say what they want and debate what they want. I find it interesting the same handful of people start threads like this in order to cement their opinion as "correct". Your post tries to be neutral but then you give a definitive opinion in your third paragraph.

Most things this polarizing are by default a bad idea. But I would suggest if you aren't interested in those debates/topics, don't click on them.

To the OP: That's kinds the reason why we have a DISCUSSION BOARD.

Don't worry, you'll do the same thing when you get older debating approaches to government.

I'm old enough to overhear and have asked some people I live with to try not to make me discuss politics at home. There's a reason 'hot topic' is called that, beyond heated and stressful.

You do realize that you started some of these debates that you now claim to hate, right? I remember you posting threads that were very much on the attack too.

I don't really care about future debates at this point (Because as Earth-Dragon said, I can just ignore them), but I just hope people can put their differences aside and conversation about Donkey Kong and Bowser's usage in game can be civilized.

Sure, but that basically kills the "discussion" idea itself.

It's the same as saying "can we stop the whole TfB VS V.V. thing" or "can we stop saying this game will be the best or the worst even if it isn't out yet".
They are pure opinions.

I personally write a lot because I want mine to be as clear and complete as possible.
