How to get all starter Superchargers cheapest?

With so many variations of the starter pack, has anyone figured out the cheapest way to get all the characters? Just thinking of it quickly on my way out the door, wouldn't you need to get at least 4? The 1) 3DS one for Bowser, 2) wii dark starter for dark Bowser, 3) both dark and regular wiiU one for both Donkey Kong and 4) another starter to get normal Spitfire. Or does that make Dark Stealth Elf missing? I'm not really planning on buying extra starters until they drop in price on Black Friday or Boxing Day. Has anyone figured out the least amount of starters to get everyone?

PS don't say buy the figures loose, as it seems to always be almost as expensive as the entire starter! LOL

One of the best ways would probably be to buy the Dark Starters now, then wait for the rest of the Starters to go on sale, purchase them and (yes, I mean it) resell the contents.

Or you could wait until GameStop gets the inevitable loose figures, but you'll be missing out on their Battlecast cards.

You need 6 starter packs to get all of the figures. Dark Bowser, Bowser, Dark Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong, Dark Spitfire, Spitfire, Dark Stealth Elf. I think Spitfire and Stealth Elf are being sold as single, so you would only NEED 5. If TRU does BOGO40 or BOGO50, that is the cheapest way, if they don't, then buying the 4 mass retail versions at Best Buy with Gamers Club Unlocked and the Wii Dark Edition at TRU is cheapest. Buying them loose on eBay would *probably* be a bit cheaper, but how cheaper is going to be unpredictable.

I agree with Matt on waiting off on the regular starters until about Black Friday. I'm predicting the regular starter packs will be about $40 then (if you have GCU, even cheaper!). The best bang for your buck now with the dark starters is Best Buy GCU which will net you a price of $80 each. Only thing that can beat it is a net price of $75 (must buy 2) if TRU does a BOGO 50 midnight launch sale and the dark starters are included (we only have one year of evidence on this and they were included last year).

I can see the amiibolanders going for 30-40 a piece for the darks maybe not so much for the regular versions as stated above you could wait for the standard editions to drop in price and atleast spitfire stealth elf and there respected vehicles may get a single pack or possible double pack release in the near future. Always GameStop as well that's how I had to find some older figures I missed out on. I really can't wait to see the prices for the dark amiibolander on ebay and amazon really like the look of dark donkey kong compared to its standard version.

I'm starting to have second thoughts on my decision cause I probably don't really even care to have the Kaos trophy and the dark editions of the characters REALLY do not look all that good in my opinion. But my decision has been at the moment i'm going to get the PS4 Dark Edition (which is already shipping so I don't think i'm going to return to store or anything) then I'll just wait and see if i can get a decent price on default looking spitfire and his vehicles because this is the spitfire version I want to use. Then I'll get the 3DS version of superchargers on black friday or something to get Bowser and Normal Stealth Elf and probably try to purchase Donkey Kong on Ebay. I'll wait a few months and just try to buy a preowned copy of the Wii U Edition disc only.
That's my plan so far but in the end I probably should have just gotten the standard edition since I can't really see playing as the dark editions the only ones I have been fine with is Dark Hot Streak and Dark Sea Shadow.

You won't know until after launch.

My advice is to get the dark sets now and not open them. Most likely dark Spitfire will be a cheap resell. Kaos trophy will be an affordable purchase as well, and while it maynot be financially efficient to piecemeal what you want off eBay, it will be cheaper in the grand scheme of things. As well, dont' waste your money buying regular starter packs...they will go lower than BOGO40 before XMas. I'm not even going to bite on the tablet version until that cuts in price (though the 3DS might get picked up because all logic dissipates when dealing with Bowser)

If you just want individual characters, get the Dark starter pack, and then get the 3DS starter pack. If you want all the variants, well, hope you enjoy owning like, 5 copies of Superchargers.
