I'm currently trying to decide which version of Skylanders SuperChargers Racing to pick, and I've come up with a list of my pros and cons for each:

Wii Dark Edition

ADVANTAGES
●Local multiplayer, meaning I can play with my best friend
●An easy way to get Spitfire and Hot Streak without resorting to buying an unneccesary third Starter Pack
●Kaos Trophy
●No leftover
●Awesome poster for my bedroom wall

DISADVANTAGES
●Lack of portability
●No chance of online play
●Might be a little on the expensive side

3DS Version

ADVANTAGES
●Portable
●Online play as an option

DISADVANTAGES
●No chance of playing with my best friend

Once I've thought about it for a while, I'll be able to decide on which one to buy. Which version will you be getting?

Don't forget the 3DS version is ten bucks less, which is another advantage it has (Why is that, by the way? The Wii version is the exact same game yet costs more. Why are console games always automatically more expensive than handheld games even when they are exactly the same? Heck sometimes the handheld version of a game is cheaper even when it has more content, like Hyrule Warriors 3DS...).

Anyway, I personally decided to get the 3DS version once I found out that the HD version was going to have an extensive racing mode of its own. If I want to race my friends I'm probably going to want to go with the HD version, you know?

If I get it (will most likely wait for a sale) I will get the wii. I prefer playing on a large tv screen compered to a tiny handheld device, graphics are not a big concern to me, nor is online (I have the Wii U for that and a real story).

Oh yeah, and I don't have a 3DS.

I've decided to go for the Wii Dark Edition. The advantages are just too good for me to pass up, plus I now know that the Wii/3DS version has a number of exclusive tracks that the Wii U version doesn't, so having both on a home console would mean every track would be playable in a multiplayer match. I may eventually get the 3DS version as well if there's a price drop later on, for playing on-the-go.

That's actually a pretty good point. The only other major thing stopping me from getting the 3DS version instead of/before the Wii Dark Edition is that I don't want to miss out on Dark Spitfire and Dark Hot Streak. There's not yet any confirmation of singles of their regular counterparts, plus I thought it'd be cool to have a SuperCharged Combo of the "Kaos" element (Dark Edition Skylanders are clearly not Dark element).

Maybe we could play some online races sometime? I'll be adding my NNID to my signature prior to the game's release. I plan to play online in the Wii U version, and possibly the 3DS version at some point, as well.

Its pretty simple to me.

The Wii Dark set will be harder to come by. Buy it.

In January or February, TRU will do some sale and you'll get your hands on the 3Ds version for like $35.
