I have to say, it's a needed change from the generic portal effect, which was getting old fast.

They're beautifully detailed and the lighting is gorgeous. I hope TfB keeps these backgrounds for Sky 6. Maybe with new environments each game? Like a cave for earth, stormy sky for air, a dream like world for magic, underwater for water and a burning forest for fire!

Over all I think it's a great change that should stay for the series.

Except I don't really like them (I liked the old Portal backgrounds more).
But they are growing on me.

As Drawdler said it's a shame they won't appear on cards like the past years now that they had an actual change but... Ok, I guess.

I like them, but a shame they won't be used outside the site - maybe in the collection menu it'd look pretty. Reminds me a bit of the old Spyro's Kingdom profiles which had themed cities and valleys behind them.

I really like them, you can easily tell which Element it's representing (and not just by the colors).

I really like the new artwork for the many details and designs it now has. They are really trying to bring out more artistic vibes with this game and that's a good thing too since most gamers have forgotten about artistic flavor and now only look at simply graphics nowadays.

I like the elemental backgrounds more, but the new ones are beautiful too. I only wonder if they continue to use that one, and what will be the next one.
