it's been a long road, guys.

I remember the days when we all knew a "skylanders 5" was coming. we waited for toy fair, and got nothing. we waited after the announcement of DI3.0 and LD, and we got nothing. but we stayed strong with our fandom and kept waiting. I remember the protoype from mexico. It was a major news break, and we all got hyped. the endless speculation, the comic books, and even the dissection of every tweet we got ffom some random journalist or race car driver. i also remember the hate the vehicle idea got. but then when we got our announcement, it was all...okay.

The amiibolanders, the online announcement, the leaks and reveals... we all stood through it together. And now we only have to wait ONE. MORE. WEEK.

It's been an amazing pre-release journey. And you guys are the best. (DI might think they're the best, but at least we don't rip off games.) I can't wait to be at the La Mesa, CA toys r us at midnight and get my game (Wii U), Dive Clops, Fiesta, Jet Vac Combo Pack, and Sea Racing Pack.

It's so close!

Yeah,the initial reveal wasn't handled well at all. Over the months the game definately showed its true colors and that VV improved and learned from (most of) their mistakes.

And if Nintendo sues DI over that Splatoon level(considering the reaction has been 'WELP NOT GETTING THIS FOR XMAS EVER' from undecided fans), Lego Dimensions will pretty much be the only competition,and if the Giants sales are any indication one opposing franchise isn't enough to topple the game.

I wish I had any SFW hype songs, but not any that fit the game... So I'll just go with a general hype theme:

I feel like the first trailer aired last week, I thought the pre-release time of Trap Team was short, but this tine it was even shorter.

Oh my gosh! It's crazy how close it is.

Usually by now though, We would have gameplay of everything, But we haven't seen Astroblast or Smash Hit yet.

There's a level in DI 3.0 which is straight up Arrowana Mall. Concidentally called Squid Wars. About inking the place.

No,squids aren't even involved. And the comments about this are pretty much 'well I was going to buy this game on sale but screw that' where I found it.

On topic, doesn't help the hype train that we're getting more Persona 5 stuff next week - not even counting EVERYTHING ELSE at Tokyo Game Show the same weekend as launch. I just hope the story doesn't start to merge with the trailers as I play.

I knew that would get posted sometime soon.

So nobody's plans for launch purchases are revolving around which sales retailers are going to run next week? We haven't gotten definite confirmation of any launch week sales.

I'm quite surprised Activision has been stingy with preorder bonuses. Disney Infinity 3.0 hit it out of the park with deals...for Best Buy GCU members who preordered, starter packs were $52 ($65 minus 20%) plus $10 in rewards certificates (effectively making it $42) plus a free Toy Box takeover expansion. An incentive to preorder Skylanders Superchargers would have only driven up the number of starter packs sold at launch and increased figure sales come holiday season. It's almost as if somebody in Activision's marketing division dropped the ball on a great opportunity.

Depends on Survival content wether I get this game, really don't like the vehicle segments. I still want Bowser and DK for my amiibo collection (which is complete so far), though I might get them from eBay.
I'm not going after all variants, so I would only be going to EB Games (which is five minutes away) to get my preorders.

Can I just say how much I love you for posting the Evangelion music.

I am pretty excited myself. I hope this game is great since this maybe my last game and all. Let's end it with a big bang this year Activision.

Well, since we're posting songs... I found the perfect song to describe my feelings about vehicles in story mode! :D Okay, they're not quite bad enough to warrant a song, but I can't resist posting that.

I know I harp on about vehicles a lot and even I'm tired of it, so I may as well post what I like about this game for once.

• KNOCK MECHANICS
  
• Splat
  
• Gameplay in on-foot sections looks similar in quality to SF.
  
• Challenges that give permanent stat boosts were mentioned in an article, which has my interest, as they sound similar to Heroics.
  
• The Quests and daily challenges sound cool.
  
• The environment themes seem really fun and diverse.
  
• Even though I don't like the dialogue I've seen, the story has a lot of potential and I'm curious about it.
  
• Online races look fun and kinda unique for the genre.
  
• Vehicle challenges look nice too, even if they seem kinda overlong and it's a shame you need to buy everything to unlock all of them.
  
• Most of the Superchargers seem interesting.
  
• Customising the hub sounds neat, something I've been wanting for a while.
  
• Yay an option for full dialogue skipping. Finally.

I don't care if I get made fun of or i'm too old for it. It's something I like and I want to play it to the games end.

The only reason I would stop buying them isif I hate the gimmick, or I can't afford it.

If skylanders lasts in my 30s i will let my future kids play with my skylanders

How about this?
The opening carries an amount of mystique to it, representing its a world lost in time and space, as though introducing you to the magical world of skylands...
The second half carries bits of both energy (representing exitement) and tension (representing the desperate mood of the game)

or how about this:? The desperate tone carries out through the whole song, the chimes give it a mystic feel, but it also feels energetic at the same time...

Nice speech OP. I actually love the research and speculation near as much as talking about the game itself, fortunately in 8 months or so we'll be there again.

Forgot as well about the possibly hypest Skylanders track - sure,the others are actioney,sad,or just amazing,but none build up as much as this. Giants still feels like it came out yesterday sometimes.
