Will we need legendary, dark or nitro vehicles to be a competitive online racer?, assuming the variants have better stats.
I havnt been able to find any info on vehicle stats yet(if you have please share).
Being the first skylanders game that has a proper online competitive multiplayer game included, I actually might care about variants now lol.
will the online leaderboards (if this game does that) just be filled with variants?
Is it good/bad that variants/"rarer toys" may actually provide you with a competitive edge now? as apposed to just being able to be a slightly better fighter in story and arena modes like previous games.
what are your thoughts?

Even Legendary/Dark Skylanders can match up with regular ones depending on skills and attacks,and there are still mods around. Unless they were careless with balancing,it'll probably only be easier to master compared to regular vehicles but not exactly impossible to compete with.

Nah. As far as I'm concerned, the only difference between regular and variant vehicles are the paint jobs.

I say it is a slim to none chance of it happening, trap team's skylander variants have different health caps for example dark snap shot's health is 1213 while the standard is 902 with a small difference in armor. It would be cool to see the trend carry on into superchargers only the 20th will answer that for us all.

All the variants (even Legendary) are batter in some stats, but worse in others, to give balance. So, a advantage between a vehicle and a variant doesn't exist.

According to my experience, online gaming is usually very balanced, even considering the "who has paid more" variable. In case these unbalances happens, they usually fix it quite fast with a patch. Keep in mind, they want the online to be competitive, so players stick to it.
Warning: Online gaming is usually far more difficult than main campaign/storyline modes,so be prepare to have patience.

I'm pretty sure basically all legendarily do, that's the point of them. E.g. Level 1 unupgraded stats Bushwhack Max health 290 Defense 18 Speed 60 Critical 60 Legendary bushwhack Max health 300 Armor 30 Speed 60 Crit 80 Cobra cadabra Max health 290 Armor 36 Speed 70 Crit 40 King cobra cadabra Max health 290 Armor 48 Speed 70 Crit 60 These increases in stats, especially critical hit , do give a decent advantage in game . So if vehicles follow suit and have a natural crease in speed etc , why wouldn't we expect legendary sun runner to have a noticeable edge over the regular sun runner vehicle ? Even with player specific mods, the vehicle with the highest base stats is going to have a natural advantage.

I agree on diversity. MK Wii's Funky Kong with Flame Rider span got old really quickly. I think we will see loads of diversity. I except only the Starter pack Viechles and newest released Viechles to be spammed for obvious reasons.

So now that the game is out, has anyone compared the stats of the different Hot Streaks? We have four of them now: Normal, E3, Dark, and Golden. Which one's the best?
