Is this the cheapest 'Landers game yet?

Think about it. From what I've heard, at least, you need one Supercharger and one vehicle for each terrain for 100%. Or am I wrong?

Cheapest to 100%,yeah. But with the raised price for vehicles, racing packs and the sheer amount of variants(and many aren't being sold in singles), it's probably the most expensive to collect.

Well, I made it through and enjoyed TT with the lone Croc
Snap Shot was my only Trap Master

and only one other Red Base character (Food Fight) so I think I can control myself to by just what I need. Except the temptation of completing a set of all 32 original Skylanders (wether the are S1 or not) is too great...*buys*

There are a few things to make the game 100% complete:

1) Obtain every single SuperCharger and Vehicle in order to unlock all SuperCharger Challenges
2) Race in all different terrains based on the elements of the Vehicles (maybe)
3) Unlock all elemental gates (if they have any)

Supercharger Challenges probably only count toward 100% if Portal Master rank grants anything. We've seen the reward are stars and nothing else, and from the new gameplay the Ranks actually only give power boosts,at least in the beginning.

No elemental gates, only Supercharger gates which any of them can open.

Don't know if it's the cheapest but it's definitely cheaper than Trap Team which is apparently considered to be the most expensive game so far... If you want to get everything new.

And I mean *everything* (so, all the variants, all the characters, all the vehicles and so on).

But if you simply want to get anything new gameplay-wise (so 20 vehicles, 4 Trophies and 20 SuperChargers)... Then I'm sorry but between bad Starter Pack choices and other packaging issues it will end up being pricier than Trap Team (4 Adventure Packs, 18 Cores, 18 Trap Masters and 11 traps).

I bought everything but the "babies" for trap team. We've started to pick and choose on lousy ideas as opposed to supporting them. No Eon Elite, no baby, very few alt + normal skins (usually pick and choose unless they both looked great).

Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. That's 27225 challenges. No thank you.

Yep, first few games it was no holds barred. They've made it hostile for collectors in this entry, so they have made it easy for collectors to "break the habit" between no cards and having to buy multiple starters. Given the Alt Decos add about 50% more figures for no additional value, we're cutting them out of our buy list as well. I may support Eon's Elites one more time and that's it for that one.

Eon's Elite are actually really nice and a bit less expensive this year (and less of them). They also picked figures people haven't seen for a while. They learned. I'm very interested in them, I got them this year after they had the price cut in half. They look really nice - but they are still figures we already had a whole bunch of already. That's not a problem this year, with four of the forgotten eight and the other two we haven't seen since Giants, then they added to the models as well.

Alt decos, well, not gonna happen for me this year. They seem to have a bunch of them since the character count is low, I guess. But, given that the dark ones make collecting them so ridiculous, it's better to just mark them all off my personal list. I'm not about to buy all of those Starter Packs, and if I'm going to go used I'll just wait till Gamestop has another Buy 2 Get 3 free used figure sale next year or something.

In the Splat gameplay, the gates are still featureless(as in, no themed decor) and require no element, and it's safe to say it's the final build.

dont forget you unlock upgrades for the vehicle with the correct figurine and vehicle. you get advantages over others that dont have done it, in the online multiplayer.
