That the Supercharger skylanders like Spitfire, Stormblade, Splat etc. could return in another game? I mean I get why Trap masters, giants and Swap Force can't return. They have something special but do Superchargers have some special? Not exactly. They aren't massive characters, they don't have special traptanium weapons, They don't swap or anything. I think they could return. What do you think?

I doubt it, simply because they are the gimmick skylanders this year. That's why I'm hoping that we stop seeing all the reposes ones now, since they have become gimmick skylanders.

I think this was intentional. They screwed up with things like the swap force. These characters are doomed to stick to their environment, and they have to keep carrying over 256 different combos into every game.

A smart move would be to have a game where the story-line "fuses" the swap force back together and they can reincorporate that whole line into games whenever they want.

I doubt it as well. As gimmick skylanders they have the special role of Supercharging the vehicles on this game, therefore they cannot be considered as regular ones. However ninjini (giant) got her mini version on trap team, so who knows.

I hope the new guys do, but they can get rid of all the reposed ones (except roller brawl). If so, this may be the end of gill grunt, pop fizz, and that stinking vac-eagle. Hopefully......

I mean...nah. They would basically just be like the core reposes from Gens 2-4. If they had a repose with new attacks, etc. like the newest ones, then yes.

Well... I mean, that would kinda ruin them being Superchargers in this game, but I guess can see it work. I mean, if you get rid of the whole vehicle thing and remove the engines, they are pretty much cores.

No, other than SuperChargers like Terrafin, Stealth Elf, Pop Fizz etc. who are recurring characters, SuperChargers should not return for Series 2 or 3, they are gimmick landers and should not be reposed just like the Giants aren't reposed, the Swap Force, Trap Masters, etc.

I don't think so, I personally see them like any other gimmick 'landers that are never reposed.
However I wonder if they will ever do reposes again now that they have introduced the ''reimagined'' concept. Maybe from now on they will only reimagine the older characters with completely new gameplay.

It's the vehicles that would never make a return back as they are the gimmicklanders for the year, not the characters. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't make more Splat or any of the others if they prove to be really popular enough to be the next Gill Grunt or Stealth Elf. It's not like they are large enough to be a Giant (or a Trap Teamer which is really a Giant but with a gem weapon) and they are of course not a Swapper. They merely look like cores on top of an engine really.

I could see them eventually getting repurposed with brand new movesets just as how the returning characters were repurposed into Superchargers. After all, Activision is pretty much shaking up the status quo by more or less fusing cores and gimmicklanders together into one pricepoint and repurposing characters instead of giving them a Series + figure. So we can't really assume things based on pre-Superchargers precedent.

I think that they could return. Some people say the SuperChargers are the gimmicks this time around, but I think the vehicles are the gimmicks.

This. The VEHICLES are the gimmick kids, not so much the characters. Otherwise Gill Grunt and the others wouldn't be Superchargers. They are specifically showing none of the characters are locked down to this game like the others.

I'm still not sure on how to consider SuperChargers Skylanders in general yet.

Traps were the true gimmick in Trap Team but we didn't see the Trap Masters come back in any form this year (well... No Trap Team character returned at all actually)...
However I can understand Trap Masters looking more like Gimmicklanders rather than Cores.

This year's gimmick is more similar to SWAP Force than it might actually seem.
You are encouraged to combine two elements in order to unlock new ways to play.
The main difference is that both vehicles and SuperChargers work as separate figures while Swappers' halves obviously don't.

SuperChargers are actually closer to Cores than any other Gimmicklander released so far (no special function as figures, average size, no special abilities in-game when not paired with vehicles except for a slight boost) but they still aren't proper Cores.
But here we have to make a distinction: revamped SuperChargers and brand new ones.

I'm not expecting to see any S2/revamped brand new SuperCharger but it all depends on how the developers see the characters.
Regarding revamps... Not expecting S2/revamps of them (wouldn't make much sense) but I'm fully expecting to see more of them in some form... Sadly...

The fact is... I've yet to understand if full revamps is the route they want to take for future games or if we'll come back to old Series figures or... Both.
They are still a big interrogative to me.

Whatever they do I simply hope reposes of any form will return to be treated as extras from now on, not the focus of anything.

Technically speaking superchargers were not born with their ability to supercharge. It's obviously some sort of energy that can be bestowed upon them, proven by the fact that returning skylanders were not superchargers before. So if cores can become superchargers, superchargers can become cores. And we all know in the back of our minds there will be many more Gill Grunts to come and he won't a supercharger anymore. So they COULD, but they probably WONT

I don't know if the supercharging process can be reversed.
Rift into Overdrive might explain that but I still can't read it.

Drek, I feel like it SHOULDN'T be to b reversed, but at least the returning cores, will probably end up giving up their powers to save skylands or something like, at the end of this comic season
