Oh my god shes awesome! I love the way she walks. I love all her attacks! She looks really strong.

The main thing that stood out to me was how good the game actually looks.

At first i thought it might have been the first level but then I noticed

Is she actually skipping? How adorible! Why cannot she be in wave one! She's like the only new Skylander I want this year.

She's a Magic gimmicklander and the popular one, she's fated like the others of her kind to be in the last waves if not the very last one.

I thought it was confirmed she was coming in wave 3? Also, is it wrong to say that currently the skipping is my favorite thing about the character?

I have to say her gameplay didn't impressed me that much...
It wasn't really what I was expecting.

But I'm definitely looking forward to her since I'm sure she will have a lot of aces up her sleeve.

And yes her skipping is awesome!

She is in Wave 3.

I don't really remember, I was using the site's wave reference and it only lists up until 2.

The skipping is awesome. Usually fauns have a kinda slow and awkward walk, having her jump around gives her a bit of speed that wouldn't be possible otherwise.

I was mainly going off of this news article. Though granted, I know it's not exactly the most accurate news source.

Now I have everything I wanted, she looks amazing! I admit her gameplay isn't exactly what I expected, but it looks so unique and new that you just have to love her.

Her staff twirling is reminiscent of Fire Kraken, but she does much more with it. Love the colors, and I'm a big fan of the skipping as well! Echo has a very jaunty walk, too - personalization like that really makes the character shine.

Exactly Spitfirefox. I was gonna say shes a lot like Fire Kraken with her paint brush. And funny how they are made by the same team.

She's better than I thought she would be . However I still like bb pop fizz better.

I think I am going to love playing with Splat. I enjoy characters that can summon minions (one reason I want Bowser), and I also like characters who can attack aggressively in her manner. Just seems like a perfect mix, and thanks to my sister wanting her own Splat and Splatter Splasher (her first Skylander she plans on buying! So proud!), I might be able to try out both of her paths, assuming my sister lets me.

Yes, the staff design and the way she wields it is a lot like Fire Kraken but with paint instead of fireworks. Not that I mind, Fire Kraken always was one of my favorites.
She is definitely one of my favorite new 'landers with Fiesta. Hopefully she will have some nice upgrades that spray colorful paint everywhere when she attacks.

Splat was never a favourite of mine, her gameplay is ok, but still excited for her

So are the supercharger challenges going to be the new heroic challenges? Have they brought back the idea finally?

Basically, yeah. Apparently there's also a new quest system unique to each character, so that's interesting.

Actually the quest system seems tied to NPCs and not skylanders. You can see that in the achievement list,the non spoilery one.

Clarify please? The vehicle "missions" for each character...is this quests or is this something else?

There are Supercharger Challenges,which are kinda heroic challenges,and NPC Quests,which they haven't clarified on,but if you look at some articles and the achievement list you can see there's a quest system tied to some of the people in the Academy that you'll progress through in the game.

To be clear, Heroics and Quests modify some attribute of the skylander itself. If we don't have any proof that either of these attributes are available (and storage of said work is done on the figure), then it's probably better to call these "Bonus Missions"---which Swap Force did in fact have and were unlocked during the course of gameplay. These were saved as part of the game file.

The challenges don't seem like a replacement to Heroics at all to me. I agree they seem much more bonus missions. What I liked about Heroics was having something to upgrade on my Skylander besides just setting them down a path and levelling them or grinding up the boring Quests, then seeing the great boosts they got from completing everything. It was also a nice opportunity to try Skylanders that I otherwise wouldn't give much of a chance.

At the very least, we finally have characters that unlock extra content again, and not just open doors.

Having vehicle-specific challenges is nice but I always thought having content unlocked with specific figures, when it wasn't designed around them, was a bad idea.

I mean my point is I agree challenges are nice, but definitely not because you unlock them using specific figures/by expanding your collection of new ones. :/

And the option of changing XP or Gold for ranking up portal master is good. I'm starting to accept the fact that they will shake all of this up and nothing is going to be set in stone...wish they would take that attitude to the simple platforming aspects that they refuse to give up.
