Chapter 1
The theft of the purple dragon

"It's time!" cried Ignitus. "We need to save the purple egg!"
"There's no time Ignitus! We need to fight!" yelled Cyril.
The rocks in the dojo began to fall as bricks flew forwards scattering dust.
"We made it," said Gaul smiling smugly. "Now where is the little purple guy? Hm?"
"You can't have it," said Ignitus standing in front of the spongey green mushroom where the purple spotted egg lay.
"Hmm? Get 'em boys!" said Gaul whistling.
Apes flew in different dirrections leaping up and pinning the dragons down. Ignitus leaped out and closed his claws over a thin black egg. He flew out of the building, his wings beating hard against the wind. He flew down to a purple river, then held the black egg up to the light, expecting to see the meerest shade of purple, but he saw a cold black.
"BLACK EGG!!! DAMN IT!!!!" yelled Ignitus. He threw it into the river.
At the temple Volteer and Cyril and Terrador lay knocked out on the floor, smashed eggs surrounding them.
"Hm, wakey wakey, hm?" said Gaul patting them, he looked at the one egg that wasn't smashed. "I'll take that."
Gaul grabbed the purple egg and hopped over dead mokeys and out the smashed wall...
Ignitus flew back to the battered temple.
"THEY'VE TAKEN IT!!!" yelled Ignitus.
Volteer groaned and wriggled around on the floor.
"Is any eggs left?" groaned Volteer standing up shakily.
Ignitus heasitated looking downwards, like the light of hope had burned out.
"One, but it's in the river, we won't see it for weeks...or never," whispered Ignitus.

Chapter 2
Cynder is born

A near by creature called a Horquine found the egg washed up on the side of the river in the huge tufty grass. The Horquine was looking ranveously for food and carried the thin egg back to it's cave.
A Horquine is a creature about the size of a dog. It had purple, thin rubbery fins on the back of it's head. It has a thin face and sharp fangs. It has face very simaler to a dog's. It had thin whiskers like needles and a tail like a sharks. There were yet more fins on the back of there legs. It has pearly white claws and fangs. If it is male it is colored coal black with purple fins, if it is female it is creamy white with with light, sky blue fins.
This piticular one was black. But there was a white one in the inky depths of the cave, along with another small baby white one.
The Horquine hid the egg in the sludgy mud, for even it's strong teeth couldn't break the shell.
That night the egg began to slowly crack, then two beady little eyes stared up at the prowling face.
The Horquine hissed baring it's fangs.
The little dragon cowered away from them. Then crawled out of the gooey shell taking her first shakey steps.
"What is it Demekan?" asked Mandian.
Mandian and Demekan were both Horquines, they had a small daughter called Meexia.
"It looks like some sort of....dragon..." replied Demekan crawling closer to the newborn.

Chapter 3
Naming Cynder
"A dragon? It can't possibly!" said Mandian.
"It is! Come here," said Demekan lowering his voice.
Mandian walked slowly over to the little dragon peering out of the gooey cracked shell.
"It is! What shall we do with her," asked Mandian.
"we could leave her outside the cave," whispered Demekan.
"Demekan! It's a baby dragon!" hissed Mandian feircely.
"And the less of them the better! They took our land, that huge purple beast! It killed-"
"I know! I know...But if we raise her-" said Mandian.
"WHAT! We can't raise her!" yelled Demekan.
Two wet wings stretched out of the shell, it gave a weak yawn showing its tiny razor sharp teeth. She stretched out her tiny claws then blinked her emerald green eyes.
"Who yawn?" asked Meexia sleepily standing up.
"It's a little creature, it think you'll like her," said Mandian.
Demekan frowned at Mandian and shook his head, then flapped his fins as his 2-month-old daughter snuggled up to him holding the small black dragon that was just a few inches smaller, and fell into dreamy sleep.
"So is it male or female?" asked Demekan smiling apon his daughter.
"Female," said Mandian pulling Demekan's head level with hers.
"What should we called her?" asked Demekan grinning, yet he was worried at what he was going to hear. Mandian's names were very strange choices.
"Cynder. We shall call her Cynder," said Mandian smiling.
