Okay, okay, wait, let me explain before you respond:

If Bowser and DK are the first thing that got you interested in the game, followed by looking up other things about the game and in turn those things getting you interested, such as the gameplay, racing, non-Nintendo characters, etc., then by all means get this game if you want to, so long as you're interested in it.

But if the one and only specific reason you're planning on getting this game is because of the Nintendo characters and nothing else...

Then you might as well be throwing your money into the fireplace.

They made these two characters because, whether you like to accept it or not, Nintendo is where most of their fans are. The Skylanders games have sold the best on Nintendo platforms.

So, if you're only interested in Bowser and DK and nothing else about the game,

Don't buy it.

Buy a game because you want to buy it, not because two Nintendo characters told you to buy it.

Pretty sure most people who have that idea don't browse the forums in the first place. As much as they don't care about the rest of the cast,they don't care about the fandom or the previous games.

Are you only saying this because of a discussion I had with Derk95? Anyways I agree but not to sound rude but this doesn't need a topic.

It also kinda falls on deaf ears really even if you said to the hardcore nintendo fans. There's seriously an article that showed up today saying Skylanders is going to fail because they don't have "recognizable characters" and that the amiibolanders were the best thing to happen to it. People will complain about Nintendo's fear of new IPs all day but they'll get defensive as soon as change happens,because by that logic new casts will never have a chance.

Well I was already planning to buy this game (On a cheap sale on mobile.) BUT Bowser and DK sealed the deal for me to get this game on console.

If people want to buy SSC for the Nintendo characters, that's their right. It's a part of their hobby. A lot of Nintendo fans bought Soul Calibur 2 just for Link, a lot bought Monster Hunter 4 just for Samus, hell a lot have bought Pinball on NES just because it has Mario and Pauline in a bonus stage. People have been following these characters their whole lives and part of the culture that developed around this is that fans of these characters often want to collect and play every single game these characters are in.


A topic on a Spyro board isn't suddenly gonna change all that...

Not everyone likes the idea of the Guest Stars in the game OUTSIDE the fanbase.

Like just read the comments in the Video of the Nintendo Treehouse E3 thing.

It's just bad.

Youtube comments are never a reference. They're ALWAYS bad.

Oh they are just bad some of them they said they need to end the series.

Again,they're ALWAYS bad. Take any SSA video from that year and you'll be told a dictionary's worth of insults and possibly slurs if you dare to like the game. Take any video of a divisive fandom - same result. People throw around "toxic" a lot for some social media sites but really nothing gets as hopeless as the unmoderated mess of the youtube comments.

Nintendo is not an Excuse to like the game.

And just beacuse Nintendo accepted to add Mario Characters in Skylanders some people are like "Why?!" but like in a dramatic way.
