I have ****ing bedbugs in my mattress!!!

Call an exterminator asap. These things repopulate ridiculously quickly and while people might claim some remedies work (like peppermint extract and alcohol), nothing beats an actual exterminator who's trained to deal with this.

Remove any sheets or whatever on the bed and be prepared to wash them with hot water.

Check the rest of your room or even house for any traces of more bugs.

Sleep somewhere else until the problem is resolved. Also if you use night clothing put that for wash as well and wear something fresh. You don't want to accidentally spread them around the house and make the problem worse.

One question though. See, I'm only planning to stay at the place I'm at for one more month. Right now I'm just renting a room from someone while I get my situation in order, and I really doubt the person I'm renting from can afford an exterminator. Assuming the bedbugs are still around when I move out, will they spread to wherever I move next? If so, what's the best way to decontaminate myself and all my stuff before I move into a new place?

If you can't afford an exterminator then the best I can tell you is to quarantine the room in question. Don't sleep in it. Don't go jumping onto the bed. Don't let your belongings or clothes on it. If any of that stuff was on there recently wash them in hot water before you go back home. Hopefully doing this will prevent them from attaching onto your belongings and being dragged to your house.

Inspect every one of your belongings before you leave. Seriously every last piece. If you see even a hint or sign of eggs or bedbugs wash everything as a precaution. And if you see a single sign of them in your house anyway when you return, call an exterminator when you can.

Not to cause any sort of panic or anything but I've dealt with these things before and leaving the situation untreated is asking for an incredible amount of trouble and stress.

This sucks. Now I'm wishing I'd just spent the last two months living out of my car.

Basically do what CAV said (if you can), but add in throwing the mattress out and get a new one (again if you can). It's probably their new spawning grounds and getting a new mattress is a betters the situation, because at least you would have a cleaner and less infested thing to sleep on.

Also if you throw the mattress out keep it away from the building you're living in (like don't rest it against the wall waiting for the trash guys to pick it up). They can climb walls and get into the building.
