I don't know if this is the right place to talk about it, but whatever.

While we wait for a update in the Skylanders website, we have some Web Games to try out.

These games are often just a Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V of other games (like Block Fu, that is a copy of Tetris) or a "micro-demonstration" of the game experience (like Plate Panic, or whatever is the name).

So, do you like these little games? I personally play then when I have anything better to do.

The Universe ports are pretty fun to play, even if they're just other games with Skylanders themes on. The rest I find waaay too laggy or broken, managed to lock myself in the Light and Dark one in less than a minute while trying to see how moving the pots worked.

The Light and Dark one was a good one, but it's buggy in my notebook.

Every once in a while I am able to try one without loading about 1 second of gameplay per 3 minutes.
Universe was much better. Mainly because it had an adventure element, not ONLY minigames.

Doing laps around Mainland isn't what I'd call adventure, but the island designer aspect definately was a good break from games. No shame in saying I spent all my gold on furniture instead of Skylander rental.

If you will be buying the character, there's no reason to spent gold in the character online.

I never played Universe (when I buy my first game, the web game was closing), but it looked interesting.

I had no money for them(my collection was at 5 that year, though I got codes from some generous people) so rentals were a good call for the Giants update.
Universe was fun, though it got a bit repetitive and limiting near the end, before the servers started having issues. You had set spaces for every decoration, and only 4 minigames(not counting unplayable Ground Defense and glitchy as heck Nighttime SWAT) and some gem chase things didn't cut it in the long run.

Wow SWAT was the least glitchy one for me.

Regular SWAT was fine, but the Nighttime version that you had to buy a strange tree for would slow down to a crawl if you hit too many red bugs. Might be because it wasn't a Mainland game anymore and kept trying to load your island, which already took a while.
