how did kaos get out of the trap?

As I know, the producers said that there's not a fixed timeline for the series, and events can happen at any given time. Or, simply SuperChargers continues Trap Team and have plot holes.

Sort of. But Kaos doesn't have reasons to use Traps. The Traps can only be used in Villains, and can harm Kaos himself.

I wouldn't call this a minor plot hole considering trapping Kaos was a major part of TT and Traps themselves were such a major part of this game. I know nobody said that here, but I really think this is huge, and the fact it hasn't been mentioned is suspicious.
I'm also wondering how the villains associated with Trophies escaped, why they're racing now and why Trophies hold and summon them.

I expect answers to none of these because the lore for this series has been falling apart since SF.

Also, I don't see why all the calls for this to be closed? News topic has too much chitchat rather than news as-is (even if it's slow lately, it still clogs it up and makes it harder to refer to the topic and find stuff like sources).

I think that they can also explain in the start of the game. Like Giants, were they explain

I really hope they explain it ingame. I would hate if it gets tossed in supplimentary material because again, it's pretty major and I feel that would just be lazy.

That, and I don't read the supplimentaries (except Onk Beakman's stuff) because I can't find physical versions here (digital isn't fun to curl up with), their lore seems equally messy and I what I did read didn't interest me.

The bad thing is for me, that lives in a country that do not get any Skylanders merchandise (aside from the cases that have space for less than half of the figures from the first game). I will need to find the details online.
