THIS IS NOT DIRECTED AT ANY ONE PERSON IN PARTICULAR.
As we get closer to the release date, I've noticed that Superchargers is getting a little bit of negativity towards it, whether it be about the umpteenth Gill Grunt repose, focusing way too much on the gimmick (even though this time the gimmick is like 50% of the game), etc., etc. Now, I'm not going to act like Superchargers is going to be a perfect game, because let's be real here, there is no such thing as a perfect game. No matter what you change or how much you polish it, it's not going to appeal to everyone and it is going to have it's flaws. However, I feel like most of this criticism are bunk reasons. Like Guha Bala being a Nintendo fanboy. Though I will say that for every bunk reason there is for people to be worried or critical of the game, there's at least one legitimate one, like the heavier focus on multiplayer racing despite the fact that there's only a handful race tracks (as of now, anyway).
But, I just want to give everybody one simple reminder:
It can always be worse.
It can always be much, much worse.
Me, personally, I prefer to look at the glass as half full.
Yeah, it does kind of suck how you need one land vehicle to beat the game.
But at least you don't need every land vehicle to beat the game.
Yeah, it does kind of suck how you can only play as Trap Team's villains in multiplayer.
But hey, you can play as Trap Team's villains and other fan-favorite villains, like Count Moneybone and Mesmerelda.
Yeah, it does kind of suck how they're just re-using the hub world from the last game.
But at least they're updating it to feel like a new hub world.
The point I'm trying to make is, I don't think it's a good idea to be so critical of a game that's not out yet and that we haven't even played for ourselves. I think it's just best to wait and play the game for ourselves before we jump to any conclusions.

With the amount of content on offer, particularly the name of some of the levels I feel like superchargers will take the franchise in an awesome direction.

Well, considering the GB comment, it's probably refering to me, but if you read most of my posts it's an equal dose of complaint and hype. I can be super hopeful that the game will be the best ever and still worry that the decisions and bias are going to come back to bite them, or that the series really doesn't need some of the dumb issues it has.
I'll play the game and love it or dislike it or even hate it depending on how it ends up,but that doesn't mean we can't be critical of what it has in our faces already. Or that I can't pretty much squee at Count Moneybone,GD, World 4, etc etc. Oh man Trap Team DID get even more criticism, half the derailing topics that killed its news thread were essentially whining when it wasn't outright offtopic. I have a reason to be such a broken record on the news thread to tell everyone to stay on topic,we do not need another Traptanium Gate debacle again, nor someone trying to stir up something of the sort.

I think the issue here is that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. It does seem like a lot of people on this forum have been ripping on Superchargers, but that doesn't mean that plenty of us are not excited for the game. I am more excited for this game than any other in the franchise. My son and daughter are, as well. I am sure I will really enjoy the regular gameplay and I look forward to the racing gameplay. Plus, the racing tracks are going to increase the replayability of the game. I also do not mind the reimagined skylanders. It definitely beats reposes. I actually like how it seems like they took melee characters and gave them ranged attacks and vice versa. Yes, the racing might be in the mario kart style, but, to me, this has he potential to be much better. The mario kart vehicles might all look different, but they do not play any different. Superchargers will, though. Plus, I love the level of detail and the creativity in each of the racetracks.

Honestly, I don't agree.
You shouldn't jump to the conclusion that something is great either and I've seen nonconstructive praise of this game in numerous posts. If you get stuck in your ways with one opinion or push it on others? Yes, it's harmful. But I rarely get that vibe from people here and I think most of the criticism is just strong impression and feeling. And I don't see harm in discussing impressions and feelings over what has been shown to us. As long as, again, you don't push it on others or get stuck on it when it might be more helpful to move on. Same goes for the positive impressions and feelings. I don't feel either is out of hand right now, besides a couple of topics that went in circles. Then again, I don't take this forum seriously most of the time, nor read most of it. (For reference, this site is on par with GameFAQs to me, though less lulzy. Might be a tainted view because of SaN, which is arguably worse than GameFAQs due to its dumb trends.)

Honestly... I don't think your argument really stands up.
Why? Because it could have been a lot better. And with little to no efforts. Guha Bala can even marry the Nintendo CEO if he wants to but he did make a mistake by making the first two consoles exclusive characters in the series (if I want to buy it, I have the money but I can't it is a problem) which also don't fit the... Ok, I'll leave the lore out of this discussion hoping they will too. No excuses for revamps. New characters. Tired of old ones since their S1s still work. You came up with all of these new moves, animations and upgrades... Only to slap them on the overused...? Bad V.V. BAD. (and they even forced Gill Grunt n. 27 in a Racing Action Pack, for Eon's sake...) Yeah you could have needed all the Land vehicles to complete the game but they could also have made vehicles non-mandatory and I'm sure no one would have complained (why complain for extras?). Yeah it would have sucked not being able to play as villains at all but how much difficult do you think would have been to simply transfer their Trap Team models in the game especially since there are only 18/20 new character models in-game this time (vehicles only physically appear inside vehicle areas)? I mean they already are in the game... Might have taken full advantage of them as well. No gripes at all with the hub world. It looks different enough to justify another (and I hope even better) use and it also fits the continuity. I sincerely think it's a great thing to criticize things that we don't like about this game as devs might even decide to tweak some a little (I sincerely think that is why Chompies changed look to be more like TfB's), especially after last year's Trap Team's bash. Don't remember a single person stand up for it as much as I see people defending SuperChargers this year from criticism about honestly objective problems. I can't think of what this game could have been I have to judge basing on what this game is. And even then, with all of that being said, I'm really excited for it! The settings seem amazing, the Story looks awesome, I'm really happy to see all the villains (and more) back, the brand new characters look all good, the vehicles look really fun, online is finally here and who knows which other surprised it will have in store for us! ![]() I can't and won't judge a game before I tried it, I simply criticize what I know (another problem is they have been rather avid with informations regarding the rest of the game this year) and I don't like as much as I'm hyped for the GREAT things I saw.
