Everyone has their reasoning, but if you could have done the 8 revamped Skylanders which ones would you have picked?
(Please no rants on how they should have all been new)
Water - Gill Grunt was actually an excellent choice. He keeps getting redone because he sells well do to his wide range of appeal. Giving him a Melee option fits his military background and firmly sets him as the ultimate marine in skylands. I might have picked someone else if I hadn't seen him, but I'm glad they picked him as the final product was the right choice.
Fire - Fryno seems like a better choice to me. Seems like he's had ramping popularity and thematically would have been perfect to have garnered a full sized vehicle. Eruptor seems more like a dev fave rather then a fan favorite. I would have given him a chain and shotgun-like weapon pushing the biker theme with a Molotov cocktail special attack with a supped up hog as his vehicle.
Wind - Wind is tough as many of the characters would be tough to pull off a new move set due to them being animals and/or their moves being extensions of their name. Even the one they chose this the case. It's far easier to not only reprogram the humanoids as they can wield weapons to give them new move sets, but it'd be hard for many of the Skylander's without hands to drive a vehicle. When looking at Winds characters, Jet-Vac is one of the few that could have work. Seems like they've done fine and I have no particular thoughts on who might have been better.
Earth - like Gill Grunt, I'm blinded by how great Terrafin turned out, and his popularity can't be argued. Not sure I would have said him prior to seeing him, but I support the decision.
Tech - this is one where almost any of the Skylanders could have worked. Not only do most have hands, even the ones that don't have circuitry that could have "plugged in" to the vehicle. Wind up would be my number one here as I think he could have had a "wind up" vehicle. "Rebuilding" his body a little to support a new move seems easy enough of a concept as well.
Magic - Another missed opportunity to really let an up and comer shine with a deep pool of charcaters with hands and toons that easy could have been given a new move set due to different weapons, different magic spells, and different potions and such all being viable options. Star Strike would have been a neat choice here with any sort of dual weapons ranged or melee. A similar hovercraft to what Pop fizz got would be my vehicle preference but a bit more star strike appropriate.
Undead - fright rider for one major reason: chariot vehicle pulled by Fright and 5 of his buddies in a 3 column 2 row formation pulling it.
Life - I understand Stealth Elf is popular, but this rendition is weak. Give me a bumble blast with a bee themed flying vehicle and I think this vacancy is full better.

My ones. Remember that some elements I prefer the Skylander that will be in SuperChargers, not the one I say here:
Magic - Star Strike: There's not much options, so I understand why Pop Fizz was selected. Maybe Star Strike because... simply because she have some good potential. Water - Slam Bam: Slam-Bam seems a good choice, in part because of the potential use of it's four arms. Tech - Sprocket: I think that will be a great idea to Sprocket become a SuperCharger. She just match with the idea. Also, a war tank vehicle can be great. Life - Bumble Blast: I agree with Earth-Dragon. Bumble Blast seems a good choice. Maybe Food Fight too, or even High Five (but he's four-legged). Undead - Ghost Roaster: Ghost Roaster is another one that seems good as a SuperCharger just because it matches with the "racer" style of the others. Admit, he can be very good. Fire - Fryno: Yes, I understand why did Eruptor become a SuperCharger, but Fryno just fits perfectly. Earth - Dino-Rang: Earth don't have many options besides Terrafin, but Dino-Rang is also a good choice. Maybe Scorp too. Air - Lightning Rod: Jet-Vac is the best choice for Air, but Lightning Rod (and maybe Flink Kong) is good.

Water- Gill Grunt fits this role perfectly. No arguments here.
Air- It would have made more sense to put in Lightning Rod since you visit his hometown during the campaign. His vehicle could have looked really cool too being based of clouds and lightning. Tech- I actually think Trigger Happy was made for this game. Fire- Fryno should have been an obvious choice since he has the whole biker thing going on. Earth- Hate to say it, but no one of this element fits the bill more than Terrafin. Life- Zou Lou might have been a more interesting choice, maybe giving him a more Asian-themed vehicle. Undead- Roller-brawl does make sense, but Hex is in dire need of a reboot in my opinion. Magic- Pop Fizz might have been a good choice... if it wasn't for his design. Seriously he looks like a band geek. Other than that I think any of the TT cores would have been cool... or you know... Spyro... though I'm not sure how well he'll be able to drive a vehicle with four legs. |

At the cost of having not-so-fitting characters as pilots I would have choosen all the characters which actually never got a single repose:
Magic: Voodood (not sure now that he'll also get an Elite) or Dune Bug. Star Strike and Déjà Vu might have worked well too but they already kinda got other figures (unless you count Red Dune Bug's E3 chase variant too) so they wouldn't have been my first choices. Tech: Boomer (same as for Voodood) or Tread Head. I mean... Do I even have to explain how an experienced dragster racer would have been a better choice than a psycopathic gremlin which might confuse the steering wheel for an explosive trigger...? Life: Zoo Lou or High Five (all the other Life Cores have had other figures). I know Zoo Lou already got a Legendary but a wooden vehicle based off his boar or birds, with all sorts of summoning abilities would have been awesome. And Hight Five because he already like speed and races and guess what? Since ALL the Skylanders can drive there is no need to restrict your already restrictive gimmick by choosing only the humanoid or upright characters. Undead: Roller Brawl is a good choice but Ghost Roaster (again, same for all the new Elites) and Fright Rider would have worked too (especially the second). Even Bat Spin since she already have a suit of some kind which could have been arranged for racing (I thought she would have been a pilot when she was first revealed). Earth: Dino-Rang (read above) or Scorp. Would have absolutely LOVED a scorpion-themed vehicle and Scorp already knows how to deal with speed considering he's an Earth Skylander. Rocky Roll might have been interesting too... His vehicle could have potentially been the most creative of them all with a giant rotating sphere instead of a steering wheel to control it but I doubt the other characters would have been happy to drive it. Air: Fling Kong. No explanation needed, another no brainer character in my opinion. Maybe Warnado too but I don't think he likes horizontal speed that much. Water: Rip Tide or Flip Wreck. Whale themed vehicle or pirate ship? Yes please! Everything is better than seeing Gill Grunt again for the tenth time especially with that embarassing suit on... What have they done to you... Fire: Smolderdash (I know she got a Lightcore but... Really) or Torch. A super speed comet-like vehicle or a metallic chariot towed by flaming horses when supercharged? Again, yes please! Fryno would have been perfect but unfortunately he just got a repose. Honestly though if I had decisional power over the revamped SuperChargers thing I would have said "are we on vacation maybe...? You know, since you apparently want to price half-new characters the same as brand new ones. Get back to work and show me some new and original Skylanders, thanks".

Life: Stealth Elf; Honestly, no Life Skylander would really work as a Supercharger and that's why I would keep her. After all, she's still my fav Life Skylander.
Air: Fling Kong; I'm not a big fan of him, but everything's better than Jet-Vac. They could just remove his carpet and turn it into some sort of vehicle. Undead: Roller Brawl; I love Hex more than any other Skylander in existence, but this is not her chance to shine (but it will come one day). She just wouldn't fit the role as Supercharger and let's be honest, it would look kinda silly as well. After I gave up all my hopes that she'd come back, I started hoping for Roller Brawl. And there she is and I'm extremely happy about it. After all, Roller's one of my favorite Undead Skylanders. Magic: Star Strike; I love Star Strike and I really wanted her to become a Supercharger, but what do we get? The drug goblin ![]() Tech: Sprocket; Hands down, she would've fit by far the best. She was my fav Tech Skylander, until Gearshift came. I always thought she was underrated and hated for no good reason. However, her vehicle could've been her tank and that, would've been a real tank, not a wannabe tank like Shark Tank. Water: Punk Shock; She would also fit the best in my opinion. She's based around charging up and electricity and I think that would've made an amazing vehicle. Fire: Smolderdash; She also fits pretty good to be honest. As her name says, she dashes and that's why she would fit pretty well. However, I wouldn't be mad if Fryno returned either. Earth: Terrafin; Exact same reason as for Life, even though I really want Scorp to return, as he's extremely underrated IMO. |

Well, I wouldn't change the ones we got for Magic, Tech, Life, Earth, or Undead. The other elements on the other hand...
Water would've been Wham-Shell. Or Punk Shock. Or Chill. Or... anyone other than Gill Grunt. Fire would've been Fryno or Flameslinger. Air would've been Lightning Rod, because... he's the only other core Skylander aside from Jet-Vac I can see working as a Supercharger. |

I probably said this in other threads, but if we really needed reposes, I'd have liked people who need new movesets.
Magic: Spyro or Voodod. The rest are fine with some tweaks, but these just don't catch up - Spyro has two movement based abilities which greatly limits any Wow Pows and even with them he's always just not enough. Voodod I've seen as way too slippery to control unless you use the tripwire, and even then, like RB he really has nothing to do with Magic with his current powers. Undead: RB is fine - she was great as S1 and a fresh start gives her more fans - but if it had to be someone else, Ghost Roaster. Don't even hide you don't touch the ectoplasm form guys, and only use the chain when anything'll do. Right now he'll be outclassed being such a one-trick pony. Life: I don't think any desesperately needs one, but Stump Smash kinda got stale over the years. Doesn't help his tertiary attack could've been an addition to the secondary. Water: Anyone but Gills. No, really, except Echo and Flip Wreck the rest either wouldn't benefit from Wow Pows or got outdated with new enemy mechanics. I'd say Zap(for a new Soul Gem) or Wham-Shell. Fire: Sunburn for being less button mashy, or Fryno for the vehicle theme. Air: Lightning Rod. If a facelift isn't enough reason(we know more Storm Giants now, he doesn't need to look this weird), his moves are just meh after so many other lightning users who do better. Earth: Dino-Rang, make him less Bash and Chill combined and it'll be good enough. Tech: Boomer for new design that might bring in more fans, or Sprocket/ Tread Head for the vehicle theme.

Nobody but if I had to pick....
Tech: Triggs I love you, your my favorite game play wise but Sprocket. Give her a tank to drive. She woud fit isn perfectly. Water: Chill. I would give her a giant Narawal ship and make her ice walls stronger. Most enemies bash through them now. Undead: I am fine with Roller Brawl. I don't own her so she will be a new character to me. Life: Anyone. But. Stealf. Elf. But if I had to pick I would pick Bumble Blast. But he may be to similar to Thrillipede so IDK. Magic: Spyro really needs the new move set but I want Dune Bug more. Don't know what I would do with him. Fire: Fryno, does it really need explaining? Eruptor is stealing his glory and motif I want the burn cycle just so I can give it to fryno. Air: Anyone. But. Jet. Vac. Earth: Nobody. I like everyone to much.

I actually don't mind any of them except POP FIZZ wanted Spyro
but say that i haven't seen what they came up with or who they picked i would have chosen Fryno for Fire (makes sense for a vehicle game) Slam Bam for water (looks like he'd be the mad driver type) Stealth Elf for Life (she fits a vehicle game the most out of the lifelanders) Dino Rang for Earth (imagine a boomercopter with boomerangs as wings) Lighting Road for Air ( i mean they have a level designed after him so why not supercharge him) Trigger Happy for Tech (even though i don't like him it makes sense for him to be in the game) Spyro for Magic (won't bother explaining) Ghost Roaster for Undead ( imagine Lava Lance Eruptor's helmet on him and a Tomb Buggy on fire as his vehicle) |

It seems I'm alone on most of my choices, but oh well.
Magic: Ninjini. I know... she's a Giant, so she couldn't possibly be a Supercharger... right? Technically, Dive Clops is a Giant too, who is even apparently a cousin of another Giant, Eye Brawl. The Giants need more love, and I think Ninjini is best for that, since she was such a poorly missed opportunity in the second game. Her attacks were dull, her animations just weren't inspired... she was meh. You could actually have an interesting Ninjini in Superchargers, as well as an awesome magic carpet themed vehicle. Fire: Fryno. I don't even own Fryno, but I've watched gameplay of most characters I don't have, and Fryno is a no brainer. The guy feels like a Supercharger already, with his bike and Mad Max apparel. Water: A Not-Swappable Wash Buckler. Like with the Giants, I think the Swappers need more love. Just because Wash Buckler could swap in a previous game doesn't mean he has to in a later game. He's very popular, and he'd bring a very cool pirate ship vehicle to the roster. Wash Buckler's gameplay could even acknowledge he is a Swapper, by giving him the ability to switch his form, similar to Pop Thorn. Tech: Sprocket. I think this one is a no brainer also. She's a very popular character, she plays brilliantly and still holds up, and she could have a steam punk inspired turret vehicle. Having a new version of Sprocket with new attacks could also take advantage of her mechanic concept, and allow her to do some cool new things that involve building, similar to how she already is with the turrets. Undead: Roller Brawl. My favorite Undead... actually my favorite character is Hex, so it's hard for me to not say Hex, but Roller Brawl really fits here perfectly. There's not much to say. Roller Brawl and Fryno probably fit Superchargers better than any of the other characters. Life: Shroom Boom. I am mostly with everyone else who says Bumble Blast, but Shroom Boom was a wildly popular character... until most people played as him, saying he just didn't play as awesome as he looked. I enjoy playing as Shroom Boom a lot, but I definitely think he deserves a chance to get a more realized and focused play style. Earth: Prism Break. I understand his popularity went downhill over the years, but I think that's even more reason to give him another chance. There's never too many unique play styles, and a crystalized vehicle could be pretty cool. Air: Lightning Rod. Lightning Rod and Flameslinger are my two least favorite characters in the series, mostly because they don't feel special, and their figures are just... meh. For this reason, I think one of the two, Lightning Rod especially should have a chance to go from a meh character to one of the most well designed. For a lightning cloud that resembles Zeus, there's just far too many options here to work with, for both the character and the vehicle, and it's a shame Jet Vac (although I like Jet Vac) was chosen instead of him. |

Nothing against your choices but I would like to point out a couple things:
- Eye-Clops isn't a Giant simply because his cousin, the Infamous Flying Eyeball isn't a Giant either. The combination of it and the Headless Giant is what created Eye Brawl which is the actual Giant; - don't know how they could explain Wash Bucker's sudden loss of his swappability really so it's better to leave all the previous Gimmicklanders outside of the repose mechanic in this sense. Don't worry, by the look of things our pirate octopus will indeed have a pirate ship to sail the Sea tracks and areas. ![]() Absolutely agree with most of your other choices though, mostly Fryno and Tread Head.

Well about Wash Buckler, maybe I didn't make myself too clear there. lol
He could, within the story, still be considered a Swapper, but without his figure having that. Like the few characters who can change form or weapon during gameplay (Pop Thorn, Pop Fizz, Rip Tide), you could actually use his Swapper identity as that play style. A lot of characters have a play style gimmick that keep them apart from the others (Star Strike and her awesome Pong-like style for example), and you could totally give him a unique gimmick. Let's say you're using the PS3/PS4 version. Press the circle button and his bottom half would fly off, hitting people in the process, and a new bottom half would replace that. Hardly changing his attacks, the difference of the bottom half could effect how he moves, jumps, or dodges. Just brainstorming here, but something similar to that, I think could have worked if a Swapper went to Superchargers. |

I HATE the whole psuedo Mad Max look they got going. I'd rather just go "landers in vehicles, if you will
Air - I hate him, but Jet Vac is the only choice that makes sense...I could get away with a Whirlwind with a Jet shaped like a cone if you will, but yeah...not enough humanoid non-trap, non-swaps. Earth is a 3-way tie. There is Prism Break who I have personal interest in, but a 'crystal' vehicle could look pretty dope. There is Dinorang who could drive a 'jeep' and given that australian outback vibe...leather interior too (0_0)'. Then Fistbumb..he lacks the personality on the surface...but imaging tires that spike out like his fist? Maybe a sound system with bass that causes the ground to crack? Good possabilities. Fire would be Sunburn...he sucked as a character, but wasw a cool design, so a repose would do him well, and a Phoenix based glider could be designed after his current dash attack. Life would be silly - Stump Smash. If you remember his old wow pow let him float on water to regen health. give him a 'raft' with a underwater compartment. I'd second a Zoo Lou plane...launching birds as weapons...yeah... Magic - Star Strike - glider...next... Tech - either Sprocket (come on a tank duh) or boomer (Stealth bomber muahaha) Undead - My first thoughts were Grim Creeper and Ghost Roaster, they need the biggest 'redo' functionally, but then I thought about it - with Hex, while she doens't need a redo, doing a 'carriage' type vehicle driven by skull horses might be too cool to pass up Water - Slam Bam...come on he ski's...that's asking for a land vehicle...snowmobile with it's own ice 'skates' to keep moving? - Unreall |
