How old are most kids when they find out about sex? [CLOSED]

I wonder, what do you suppose the average age is that a kid learns all about sex?


Edit: I don't mean this thread to undermine the mods, I was just legitimately curious, particularly since sex discussion on darkSpyro will inevitably be seen by a good number of kids.

They find out ~9-10 because someone's big brother tells them about it then they feel the need to tell their whole grade then everyone knows. They usually start to understand it ~12-13

I suppose it depends on the kid and the household they were raised in. Like for me, I didn't really understand and know what exactly sex was until I was about 14 or 15, and even then I was still a bit confused. But I feel like more kids are learning about it at much younger ages due to other kids and the almighty Internet.

I was taught about sex when I was 10 in school. It was basically what the reproductive organs do... but still awkward at the time.

Slightly irrelevant, but in P7(11 years old)we were doing sex ed and one of my classmates fainted in the classroom. It was stuffy in the room too, and combine that with sex ed and you've got yourself a recipe for losing conciousness. I'm not even joking about the fainting.

I think my mum told me when I was like 8? I remember out right asking her how people who weren't married got pregnant, since I just assumed you magically got pregnant when married, and she gave me the whole talk. Tho I don't think I ever really got the idea of "sex" until like middle school age I guess. Everything else I picked up from year 10 science (and the infamous childbirth video we all had to watch. One guy fainted apparently watching it) and my high school friends, who were far more educated on the topic than I was.

I was 11 or 12, can't remember exactly which age. My parents refused to give me the talk, and I never had much friends at that age due to being extremely shy, so I didn't learn about it until the Sex Ed program at school, which started in year 6 at my school. Although pretty much the entire class already knew about it, so I felt embarrassed for not knowing. A lot of kids in my class were also already dating at that age.

I remember there was also a kid who was asking people if they 'spat or swallow'. Didn't know what it meant at the time so I just said the one that most people said when he finally asked me. xD

tbh i personally think that kids shouldn't be learning about sexual acts and sex in general until at least 13, when they start puberty and become a teenager. but kids seem to get horny even before puberty these days so i guess they're going to figure it out somehow.

No, it's just that my older brother (He's 11 months older than me) heard about sex from his friend and then told me about it.

I did come to terms with that information very quickly though.
