My parents won't let me go to BronyCAN or Equestria LA and my best friend, who moved away last year, is never coming back.
I feel like I'm bullied for who I am at school, and I really wanna go somewhere where people share my interests and understand why I like stuff like MLP. But my parents say it costs too much and they won't let me go. I need some advice or something to help get me through this. The bullies are still at my school and I'm afraid they'll still be in my class next year.

I'm not sure what to do about the bullies, as there's no real bullies in my school, but you should talk to the principal if they're really bothering you.

Learn some Muay Thai and kick their arses. No one bullies a Muay Thai fighter.

When it comes to parent, there isn't much you can do beside be a suck up(jk). I have been held back from going to BronyCon the two times I could because Army(if you're military you know the struggle XD)... The bullies, the friggen bullies... I've had my fare share growing up, and dealing with the haters of my fandoms, its all a mental test. The best way to deal with bullies, is always be yourself, show that what they do isn't hurting you, they'll eventually give up on trying to get something out of you.

I'm not the greatest motivational speaker, but at least I'm one of the billions of people on this planet that tries.

My advice, make a deal with you parents, parents love to think they have something over you.

As for the bullies, most are insecure little wimps.

If you stand up to them they'll back off because they know you're not a victim.

kick their ass. I punched someone in the face for making fun of me last year and I went to the principle's office, but it was worth it.

If you can't go to the con, join a forum. It's not as good, but it's the next best thing until you can.


As for the bullies, forget them and be yourself. Please ignore the idiots in this thread and do not use violence. I promise you, it's more trouble than it's worth, even if you do win the fight (especially if you're in middle or high school, in which case you can very well be arrested for fighting). Just don't worry about them. Half of them are going to fail in life anyway.
