What if it is a single?

I'm banking on the dark wii starter pack being toys r us exclusive, hence why we can't preorder it anywhere yet. If it does end up being a single (even though they already said the skymiibos wouldn't be available outside the starter packs) I really hope its a combo pack with his vehicle

I agree. I think it's just going to be that the Dark Wii Starter Pack is exclusive to TRU. It's just a poor choice of words in the TRU tweet.

Please let this be a Dark single of combo pack (highly doubt it though)

Interesting. That would be pretty cool to see if they actually release him this week.

That wording has me stumped. Why are they saying "available exclusively at TRU in-store and online this week" and not as a pre-order? Is it just over site on the wording or is he actually going to be physically available in stores? It might just be a pre-order card like they had with Gear Shift.

This is amazing news (if he's a single) and since I'm getting standard 3DS I can get both.

I held my expectations in check when I saw that tweet, as that would be unprecedented. But it is a bummer it's a false alarm.

I think it is just for the Wii dark starter and no single figure. At least we know why the Wii dark starter has not been available for pre-order from any retailers in the USA.

According to the article Tigorus put the link up for, it seems that it will be a single figure that will come out with two other Amiibo figures. I could be wrong, but it seems like it's legitimate.

It's still based on the twitter that ended up as a false alarm, so not too sure.

@Insane01, that's all based off of the ill-worded tweet. They were just saying that they could see it happening because there is an amiibo release this friday and next. but again their only source is that ill-worded tweet.

Toys 'R' Us just uploaded the image for the Starter Pack to their image servers this weekend, no-one else has it up for pre-order. That's what the TRU tweet is referencing.

Yeah that link I posted was based off speculation of that same tweet. But I left the so people could read it. I'm in the "fingers crossed" category that he'll be available as a single.

No matter what happens, I still want Dark Hammer Slam Bowser and his Dark Clown Cruiser. In fact, when I do, I'll try and buy only the Wii U Starter Pack game disc and SuperCharger Portal of Power on eBay, excluding the original Spitfire, Hot Streak and Super Shot Stealth Elf figures.

I guess that means I can't get the dark edition this year...

Went to ToysRUs recently. They have no clue & they assume it was an online thing, even though I showed them the link...

I doubt this has been communicated very well from the corporation down to the stores themselves, so finding out information in store will be a big waste of anyone's time.

My guess is Friday. There is another Amiibo wave launch and to celebrate the next round and push the 2 Amiibos coming in the upcoming skylanders game, that's when we will see something happen!!!

Hope it's a single pack, but what about his vehicle? Also, I would be glad to find out that I might not pay $100 for one character/vehicle.

It's already confirmed to be just the Wii Dark Edition.. read post #10 and #11.

Only the Wii Dark edition is exclusive to ToysRUs, nothing else.
