Do you think Starter Pack characters will be sold on their own?

So from a recent poster, we see the different types of packs that there will be sold. Those packs show Super Shot Stealth Elf in a single pack, Hot Streak in a single pack, and the Terrafin combo pack. Do you guys think that this will happen, that Hot Streak and Stealth Elf will be sold outside the starters? Because this could be a saving grace for many Wii U players

Sure they will.

We still haven't seen a Spitfire Single Pack but I think it's likely to happen.

I don't think the nintendo ones will be. No evidence to support, just a gut feeling.

Agreed with the posts above. Spitfire, Hot Streak, and SS Stealth Elf should be no problem to obtain outside of packs.

Bowser and DK ... don't count on it.

Nintendo isn't dumb with regards to their partnership with Activision in this. They will want to bring Amiibo collectors into Skylanders by selling starter packs with Donkey Kong and Bowser. All the Amiibo speculators will buy them thinking that's the only way of getting them. Then when all hope is supposedly lost, they will probably be released as singles in one of the last waves...but only once they've milked their profits off pawning them off in starter packs. Activision will have majorly profited off the early sales of starter packs and Nintendo will make bank selling the Skymiibo singles to the Amiibo collector holdouts who didn't want to fork out money for starter packs and those psychotic subsets of Amiibo collectors who will want the "new-in-box" singles to display (and there's lots of them out there who won't open them up their Amiibos to actually play with).

100% yes for non-Nintendo characters. With the inclusion of a digital version it's pretty much implied. Plus we've already seen the packing for a Stealth Elf single.

Well, since Stealth Elf is being sold separately despite being in almost every starter pack, I'd say it's possible Spitfire will as well for people who got the regular Nintendo starters. But as for the amiibo I think they'll be exclusive to the Nintendo starters.

It's not going to happen. Nintendo nor Activision wants confusion on the front of why a skylander can't work with non nintendo versions so it's not going to be done. It was stated in interviews and part of the agreement for the amibolanders. there won't be a dk or bowser single pack, starters only.

Taking that last ride through the sunset on skylanders. Hopefully a return of more classic spyro gameplay in the horizon.

Last I heard, the starter pack-only answer was of the "no plans at this time" variety.
That said, it's pretty obvious that Activision's profit from the partnership is that more Nintendo fans will buy the game (and not just pick up the individual figurines), so it makes way more sense from a business POV to have them be starter pack exclusives forever.
