I keep thinking...There's going to be Legendary SuperChargers? And Legendary Vehicles?

For sure, there are hopefully going to be Enchanted and Jade variants as well, I really liked those

I would like to see those too.

I would love to have the following new variants (including Legendaries):

Enchanted Splat
Legendary Stormblade
Legendary Deep Dive Gill Grunt
Legendary Thrillipede
Legendary Fiesta

Why wouldn't there be legendaries? They've been around since SSA, I don't see a reason to discontinue them.

There's only like 20 Characters. How many Skylanders could be a Legendaries?

SSA - 4
SG - 6
SSF - 4
STT - 4

I'm gonna have to say that SSC will have 4 Legendaries once again.

I'm guessing two legendaries for SC's and two for vehicles. One SC and vehicle for each release date. They also should have their corresponding vehicle legendary-ized

On Release day, a popular Wave 1 character is usually legendary. I chose Legendary Stormblade and Legendary Sky Slicer because both of them are released at the time, according to myskylanders.de. There were two legendaries available for TT last year when it released, IIRC.

Sometime after Wave 2, my guess is less accurate than Stormblade because I don't know who's going to come out of Wave 2, but based on the time of character reveals, I'm going to guess either Legendary Thrillipede and Legendary Buzz Wing, or Legendary Splat and Legendary Splatter Splasher. The reason why I'm choosing two is because I'm not sure which is the better choice. If we have Splat, it would look awkward with both legendary SC's being female, but if I go with Thrillipede, both vehicles will be sky.

Still, this is only if they release legendaries with their proper vehicles, just like the Dark Edition. We have Dark Stealth Elf and Dark Sea Shadow.

I don't think there's going to be Two Female Legendaries in all the game. But if at least there's 4.

I predict we'll at least see Legendary Stormblade and Fiesta.

I could totally see maybe Buzz Wing getting a legendary vehicle

I want to see:

Jade Splat
Enchanted Big Bubble Pop Fizz
Enchanted Stormblade
Jade Lava Lance Eruptor
Legendary Thrillipede
Enchanted Astroblast
Gnarly Super Shot Stealth Elf
Power Punch Fiesta

and the point is?... we have eons elite, the dark/light, the dark(again) and reposes with new powerful abilities and weapons. so why do we need legendaries?... if anything comeback its most likely nitro's, thats what i think.

Legendaries will return. They are the TRU exclusive. Although, now the Eon's Elite are now a TRU exclusive too. I guess Gamestop saw the EEs weren't selling very well and let it go. Dropping the price would have helped. I expect to hear about a Nitro variant for the Target exclusive. If it's similar to previous years, there will be one at launch. Not so sure about Wal-Mart since they don't so much push Skylanders anymore.

There were legendaries in Swap Force and that's the game that introduced Enchanted and Nitro varients. So what's you're point?

I sincerely think there will be at least 4 Legendaries and a lot of Nitros.

As some have said most likely stormblade and possibly fiesta and their vehicles will get legendaries, If it's true that tru is holding onto the eons elite this year I wouldn't expect many sales on them and best to get them when they first come out on which ones you like or regret it later. They won't shelf warm like at gamestop. I expect there to be atleast 1 nitro and enchanted this year but then again I don't think there was an enchanted last year so walmart might be done with exclusives.

They may not shelf warm since TRU has more sales than Gamestop and they will be cheaper (if TRU sticks to MSRP). GS probably saw the highest sales when they were BOGOfree.

Wal Mart dropped the enchanted versions only were available in swap force era only Walmart exclusive I am aware of for traP team is the mini gill runt and gill grunt combo pack and for fryno and small fry legendary skylanders will be a regular expectation until alter colored skylanders sales tank

None of this should come true, save for a couple of legendaries and maybe the "holiday/spring" variants. I really do expect to see the Alt Deco variants to be very sedate this year.

It's quite possible that ends up being more figures that have a variant then figures that don't.

Of the 20, we have 4 darks (Spitfire, Stealth Elf, DK, Bowser)

Could be 2 Nitros (although Nitro them would look better on a vehicle, so I'm thinking 1 of the 2 nitros will be a vehicle, if not both)

1 Christmas variant

1 Easter variant

Could be 4 legendaries ( I'd guess 2 figures and 2 vehicles)

Maybe 2 other variants

That's 14 right there. For TT, they're were 16 altogether, not counting the trap variants, so that's still a reduction. Oh, and I didn't even count chase variants.

They should just go crazy and give every figure a variant this time around.

I have a feeling this is true. alt decos really didn't generate much interest this year. You can pretty much still find all of them with a little bit of effort for the earlier ones. Reposes also didn't do much even though there were only five of them. If they have truly paid attention, it is the new characters that still move. Multiple copies of the same figure people already have are the first on the chopping block when people cut back.

I'd argue they're trying to pull a fast one by doing "lazy redesign" of previous skylanders and calling them "new"...so in fact they've heard, and they're pushing back hard. I think it's a HUGE risk for them to have HALF of the characters this year in essence being UTILITY variants of previous characters.

Most of us (even the steadfasts) are over reposes at this point. I do think a well thought out Series 2 with a wow pow that is in demand would be an exception. Would've much preferred superchargers based on the forgotten five if they had to do it except for being elites.

Legendaries are still a series staple, even if fewer this year. Not to mention last year's set was easy comic story idea, since there was an entire arc about getting Legendary status or struggling with it. And they're more acessible than Eon's Elite iirc.

They definitely didn't need to dip in the well for the old steadfasts. No guys, we aren't excited about our "old favorite" Gil Grunt coming back AGAIN. Roller Brawl is the only one where I do not have a problem with on reposes. They have SO many figures to choose from that only have one design - why did they go with 4 that already have 4 versions and 3 that have 3 (and that's not counting variants)? I get not wanting to do a full design of a new character for the whole roster, but it isn't like they don't have better options that people will want to buy.

you'll have dark, legendary and nitros, you'll have your 3 or 4 holiday sepcials. and then some random ones.

Ya know, Nitros would be a NATURAL for SC. So therefore, I'm calling it as they won't be here this year b/c of Target's lackluster participation as of late.

I hope there are only a few (3) chase variants like in Trap Team (Clear Tuff Luck, Short Cut, Thunderbolt). Or none. I'm fine with none. But we already got an E3 chase variant soooo...
