Something you did. There's **** I did when I was 6 that I can sometimes feel stupid for let alone more recent actions.

I guess it depends on the situation, but I usually regret things that I did do so I'm gonna go with that.

The stuff you did do are usually the things that stand out. The stuff you didn't do just fade away into nothingness. Opportunities missed for whatever reasons... you don't remember those quite as much. I certainly don't regret having been in marching band, but if I hadn't joined marching band, would I regret not doing so? Who's to say?

If you regretted not supporting Microsoft, then that's worst. If you regret killing someone and getting a life sentence with no chance to escape, that's worse, but then you wouldn't be in here.

Regretting what you didn't do. There have been so many things I've wanted to say/do but held back and I think I missed a lot of opportunities and I always catch myself wondering "what if" and "how might my life be different" and beating myself up about it.
Stuff I regret doing always makes good stories.
