I believe that the trophies will be a form of compensation to fans since they can't play as their trapped villains from Trap Team, that being said I predict that their will be 8 trophies to collect, one for Kaos and one for each Doom Raider. Any thoughts on this?

My guess is 10 or 11, one for all elements and one extra for Kaos, if he isn't the dark or magic element.

Actually i think it's more likely to be 10, so that we have one for each, because they added Luminous and Nightshade.

omg... thropies, vehicles, dark/light, new posed variants... it sure dont look like there is less to buy this time around, it looks like there is much more.

I think the trophies might be instead of expansion packs.

We used to get 2 items with each so if it's a single trophy per back that would balance out.

I hope we still get a couple adventure packs. I''m not particularly interested in buying the trophies if all they have is races.

Let's just hope that they give us a complete breakdown of everything they're going to offer pre-launch so that we can make sure not to pick up singles of any SuperChargers or vehicles that are packed with the trophies. It's bad enough that completionists are having to pick up multiple extra starters to get all the characters and variants, but if they start blindly throwing out characters in the first couple of waves only to repackage them with trophies you can only get by buying them again in a later wave...

My assumption is 8 + Kaos. I know we immediately think 10 now because of light and dark, but if we know how Activision works, and we know that the Golden Queen is bundled with Gill Grunt, I'm putting my money on every single remade skylander (Terrafin, Stealth Elf, etc.) to come in an Action Pack, forcing fans to buy old characters

My guess is that ther will be 4 of them, replacing the adventure packs. Hopefully we see a mesmerelds

They'll probably have one of each terrain type (Kaos=Sky, Golden Queen=Sea), possibly 2 land, since that's their main terrain. Hopefully there's a non-dark/ultimate version of the Kaos Trophy available in an action pack.

Interesting. Maybe they wi be limited to the track that the trophie unlocks as well, or maybe it will work as a 100% functional vehicle (which I doubt it).

I'd rather have the vehicle as a figure, Doom Jet and that solar barge-like boat look great.

I agree. I wonder why they thought that a Kaos Doom Jet or any other Villain vehicle wouldn't have sold? Maybe they need a separate mechanic so Skylanders can't drive...totally guessing here.

Maybe the vehicles and villains are considered as a single "character" so they didn't want other character to use villains' vehicles or vice versa.

I hope we don't get 8 racing packs as it would be just as expensive as trap team

Please let their also be a Wolfgang trophy.

They should have made the traps do what these trophies do...

Okay, I'm placing my bets:
-Kaos (confirmed)
-Golden Queen (confirmed-ish)
-Wolfgang
-Dr. Krankcase
From what I've seen, those four are the most popular villains from Trap Team.

I think the Chompy Mage is also likely to be included maybe even to replace Dr. Krankcase.

Keep in mind we don't know if we'll have one per terrain or more. We could be looking at 1 more unconfirmed or several, since the trophies are smaller and less complex than APs.

I wonder if Kaos' non-dark trophy (if it exists) is silver, and Wolfgang's (again, if it exists) is bronze.

Could be but I expect an hypothetical regular Kaos Trophy to be plain black and a Wolgang one to be reddish.

Golden Queen's could have a golden base to get along with her style.

I hope they come out with a regular Kaos trophy. I have the regular Kaos trap, the ultimate one looked stupid in my opinion with the oversized head. But if not eh, it's whatever. This one is proportioned normally.

Agree, that's the same reason why I waited for the regular Kaos Trap to be released last year.

The Dark Edition's Kaos Trophy looks just fine if it's the regular version.

The only compensation is what Activision will get by reselling plastic for figures we've already gotten trapped--but insidiously lock out tracks that will greatly enhance the online experience. Pretty typical single finger salute from Activision.

I'm down for additional races for each terrain. I wonder who will be land and sky, if Kaos is his own that is. I think I'd like Dr. Krancase for land and Chompy Mage for sky.

I'd say that's a U.F.O. but there might be another spaceship/flying saucer-like vehicle and it would actually suit him quite well.

I honestly think there will only be 3 Trophies.

The Kaos cup for Sky
The Golden Queen cup for Sea
The Wolfgang cup for Land

It makes sense, I think it's safe to say they were the most popular villains from Trap Team, (Kaos the big bad, Wolfgang was easily fan and developer favourite, and Golden Queen for being the boss Doom Raider). 10 or 11 cups would be too much, as far as we know the cups will only be available in Racing packs (and the dark edition, but I think the Kaos cup in that will be similar to the Ultimate Kaos trap in that it has painted details, something which Golden Queen's cup doesn't have) and 10 Racing Packs would be utterly ridiculous.

Who knows though.

if more than 4 its a rip off for sure.

Considering the Golden Queen trophy is called a "Sea Trophy" on the packaging, I think it's safe to say there won't be more than one for each terrain. Land, Sea, Sky and Kaos sounds like a very good bet to me.

Unless they want to make 3 Trophies for Sea and Air and 4 more for Land to match the vehicles terrain balance.

But I think it's unlikely... They would have to create 10 different Racing Action Packs...
