Missed it. Last year this happened too and i got it for that price for trap.

i was on phone with customer service about pre order stuff when my order got changed to the full price so talked with them about some price adjustment after i got screen caps, maybe might be able to get the pre order done by adjustment probably, but if not it's worth a shot i guess.

Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed as well. Was about to order the ones I needed, but as soon as I got to the final checkout stage, it went to $99. I don't care if that was an error or not; I'm going to speak to Customer Service about that.

Ordered yesterday. Hopefully they will honor the price.

This has me worried (as I want dark bowser most of all) There is no info on the wii version at all. I called my gamestop about it and talked with the manager (we are good friends) and he said that there is no info on a wii dark starter in the system as if it did not exist... but that he had seen the pics of it online. He told me he would call me if it ever came up in there system.

The price did work for a while. I got it for $75 around 7:00AM PST. Limited time sale?

Yeah, if it wasn't for the hi-res pics then I would be wondering if maybe there was something unrevealed. But we have pics. It's a done deal. So...where are the preorders? Very peculiar.

Didn't this happen to the Trap Team dark starter last year too...? Did they follow through with the lowered price? Also one more question, did you pick it up in store or did it arrive by mail on launch day?

Actually I talked to guest service on the phone and by email. They adjusted the price for me for 2 dark starters I wanted to get. In retail if the price is up at a certain point for point of sale, when you go to purchase it they have to give it to you, otherwise there can be problems from it. If it's from their error, etc. I wouldn't be surprised that more than a few people got it at that price and they swallow that cut from the error. I ended up helping them on the issue in how long I talked to them. It happens but there's most likely more people that tried and had the problems. That isn't exactly a person's fault.

I don't think it was a price error. It said 25% off retail price for $74.99.

I showed that to target in screencaps when they fixed my order for the dark editions. I think it was one of the reasons why they adjusted the price for me. It might've been a missplaced sale though since as we all know it was the normal price of 99.99

thats the usual gamestop thing of it. tru will probably have a bonus for preordering like they've done for all the games.

Here's hoping for another BOGO 40-50% for Starter Packs like tru's STT midnight launch. We especially need 'em this time.

TRU has been consistent in previous years, so I expect it to happen. If I remember correctly, last year the the BOGO50% off was from 12-2am at midnight launch stores and then BOGO40% off after that. I wasn't going to do a midnight launch this year. I plan to get 4 starter packs, so I will be doing it if there is the better sale.

I didn't do the midnight sale for TT because I use the bus. I did go later on and got the BOGO 50% on both regular and DE STT starter packs. I'm hoping I can get lucky two years in a row, but 40% off isn't too shabby either. I just hope I can get everything that comes out on 9/20, regardless of how tired I'll be from Universal on 9/19. That's how much I'm looking forward to it.
If I get into Dimensions, I'll wait until it goes down in price.

That's a complete fabrication. And yes, someone DID make a mistake. And they're allowed to fix it.

they can fix it but it also leaves them open to an audit. considering i have worked in retail this is something that is possible to happen if there is a mess up in the price. they tend to give it to the customer due to that is the price it was at point of sale. even if there was a glitch in the system, etc, employee error you get it. I forgot exactly what it goes into but the main thing is it just happens if you are lucky to catch a price that shouldn't be that way. technically a business can get into a lot of trouble for denying a sale as such when it happens. hence why at times some are forced into an audit. i think of as of means to make sure their pricing is authentic, as in not promoting fraud to the customer.
