I noticed... in multiple demos of the game I've seen, they don't show damage numbers
They normally do that in preview videos but not in footage of people playing.... I'm confused

Most of the footage seems to have the UI off,but the Skyfamily videos and a few others have it on with damage numbers and everything. Try looking for some of the stuff from E3, Nintendo Treehouse and FamilyGamer have it as well methinks.

They probably don't want us to not buy weak characters that might be why there is no damage numbers

i dont think so, they are just more focused to show you what you can do in the game, and the new features.

I remember one that had it showing it with Stormblade's moves,and Lou mentioning the balancing and how enemies are supposed to be easy at this point. Being him it's probably one of the Skyfamily videos, not sure.
