Thanks.
I had this idea on another thread and as soon as it came to my mind I couldn't help but keep thinking on it and expanding the concept: wouldn't it be cool if each exsisting Skylander could "power up" in some way a vehicle from the same Element giving it a unique ability...?
Or even all the vehicles regardless of the Element.
They wouldn't be like supercharges at all, just a different attack based on the driver.
Here is a list for all the characters and their abilities.
Feel free to create your own or simply choose certain characters and develop them.
I think it would be a good way to keep the uniqueness of each character even while driving:

Instead of this, what they could have done is create 3 generic vehicles (one for each of the types) that change look and attacks based on which skylander you use with and for 2 player its look would be based on the one who is driving and the attacks based on the other.

Fools! I've had it up to here with your incompetence! Actually no, even higher..up to HERE! |

That's a really cool idea but I guess people would complein they were "mandatory" and didn't looked unique enough to be worth the purchase.
Like what happened with traps: everyone complaining about their look forgetting they let you play as up to 6 different villains.

Voodood's ability could be having a giant axe at the front of the vehicle to damage enemies it touches.
Ninjini's power seems a lot like the magic item Ghost Pirate Swords. Krypt King's power could just simply be adding extra damage and speed. Head Rush's power can simply be letting rocks fell from the sky cuz running into walls just sounds funny. Wham Shell's power can be setting up a starfish rotating shield around the vehicle. Other than those, I say this is a great idea Drek 95, I liked Scratch's power. |

Thanks a lot!
I wanted to come up with something truly original for her since she has one of the most original Soul Gems in the entire series. Those are great ideas too! I know Head Rush seems funny but I really wanted to give her a more "strategic" feel since a lot of other powers simply involves making something fall from the sky (Hex, Bouncer, Hot Head).

This was a really neat idea Drek95! I really liked how you made the vehicle special abilities correspond to an upgrade each Skylander has.
To answer your question, I don't just think it would be cool... I think it would be brilliant! Maybe it's just because of how I used Shift (I used him more as Grilla Shift than as Night Shift), but I think this idea for Night Shift's ability would be cool too: 'Teleport directly behind the nearest visible target. Two giant boxing gloves then attack the enemy. If there are two or more targets that are the nearest visible at exactly the same distance, the target to teleport behind will be chosen at random'. Just thought of another one too. Sorry if someone already posted this, I was skimming while checking. Bat Spin: In a certain area around Bat Spin's vehicle, a circle of bats forms around all enemies in that area. Enemies inside a circle of bats can't move. Reading my Bat Spin description over again, I can see it was vague. I tried to make it more clear. And in the case of what Skylander3112 mentioned, that too was a good question. Bat Spin's ability here would obviously be one of the abilities where you'd have to wait a while before using it again. |

Thanks a lot, Sworn2Skylands!
Happy you enjoyed my idea that much, I had a lot of fun thinking on it. Your Night Shift idea is waaaay better than mine I admittedly had some difficulties with the Undead Skylanders (which is sad since I really love that Element); the reason why I didn't used teleport for him is because I already came up with a similar idea for Stealth Elf and I really wanted to make each Skylander as unique as possible. But it definitely suits him more. Not many of those powers are as creative as the others. Nice idea for Bat Spin too!

Question Drek, what if there is a SWAP Force Skylander on the vehicle that has his parts swapped (say 'Blast Buckler'), which power would he grant to the vehicle?

I'd say the top half's since that's where the health, experience and treasure are. However one thing I forgot to mention is only the attacking Skylander would be able to activate powers while playing co-op, the other one would simply drive. But as we know they can change position at will so it's not a problem at all.

Are these abilities a 'one-time use' then you have to wait for a recharge or are they just constantly active?

Some of them are while some others aren't.
They either replace the normal firepower or adds other effects to vehicle. For example Spyro's attack would replace Hot Streak's fire stream while Chill's wouldn't.
