Apparently, it's heart disease for white males. White American males, at least.


Might want to throw nationality in there as well.


EDIT: According to Men's Health, HIV/AIDS is the third leading cause of death for African American males, behind heart disease and cancer (same for white males). For Native American males, "Unintentional Injuries" is the second leading cause of death; it's third for Hispanic American males. Interesting stuff.

Coronary heart disease for me apparently (Australian white females). This goes for white Australian males too.

However if I also take my age group into account then it's suicide (both genders I think).

As DarkCynder said, coronary heart disease for Australian females and suicide for age.

Taking nationality into account... Coronary heart disease is apparently also the leading cause of death in Swedish people. Well, what do you know.

For teenagers (especially in America), "unintentional injuries" most commonly means car wrecks.

Leading cause of death for UK females was dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, which accounted for 12.2% of female deaths during 2013. The second leading cause of death in 2013 was ischaemic heart disease for females.
