I'm guessing there will be no more than 36 heroics.

The reason, one heroic for each character, and I also would believe they could make a heroic for each vehicle. The character heroics would be action based while the vehicles will be all about racing and vehicle missions. There will not be heroics for Donkey Kong and Bowser because they are nintendo exclusive and I have beliefs they do not appear on the SSC poster.

I also don't think they would bring back previous heroics like how Giants had ones from SSA. Seeing how VV is in control, they need to come up with all new heroics, even new ones for the returning skylanders. I mean look at them, they act different in-game.

So that's why I would think there will be 36 heroics if they ever brought them back, which I believe VV won't. They'll probably have more free bonus levels like in SSF

There is no way the vehicles will have heroics. They have mods already to change their speed, armor, and weaponry. Besides that, vehicles can't be heroic...it doesn't make any sense. And regarding DK/Bowser, I don't see why they would be excluded.

Really though, I can't see them bringing back heroics, at least not in the same form. If they do something like that, it will be under a different name with different features about it.

they should be on the poster but instead of there element just have nintendo on it

Heroics are for heroes. I do however agree they would be for a limited set. Frankly, the whole thing is broke at this point, and needs a comprehensive overhaul.

Then I would have to buy every single SuperCharger figure to unlock each new Heroic.

Ideally, we would get Bonus Missions and Charms for the overall improvement, but also have a 'Skill Point' system that you can improve stats for every level they achieve. This will give people the option to customize their Skylanders as they please.

But I fear with the hat system still being supported, we will be without any other means of customization.

The number of new characters is completely immaterial to this hypothetical feature. If Activision/VV wanted to do something like heroics, they are under no obligation to do it the same way it was done previously. In fact I'd say it's more likely that it's done in a different way.

They pulled that in Giants even though 24 of the characters was purchased in the previous game. I could actually see them add Heroics if for nothing else to help us make an "all in" purchase decision.
