Do you make donations or think of doing them? [CLOSED]

This a question that I like to ask from time to time, as a certain incident has made me thankful of kindness and I try to return that for giving me a second chance at life.

But do you donate to good causes? Do you try to? Any opinion is welcome here, it's alright if you distrust some because of those who scam for their own gain, can't or won't or donate to something more for your liking, such as kickstarters for a game.

I try to donate as much and as best as I can, I am cautious of scammers and like to make sure that what I donate to is for a good cause or official.

And what about you? What do you do?
