Brawl in the Family is the only one I really read, despite only starting after it ended.

Same here, it's really good. Matthew actually made me feel bad about freakin' Waluigi.

Not Enough Rings is a web comic series similar to Brawl in the Family, but with a focus on the Classic Sonic games.
The following one is my favourite comic in the series. It makes me feel real mellow and makes me think.

Another good gaming webcomic is Awkward Zombie. While I don't read it consistently, it's still a fun read.

I'd recommend Gunnerkrigg Court to anyone. It's difficult to explain the plot, but it combines science fiction with European mythology.
Ava's Demon is a cool science fiction webcomic with a pretty intense plot and a beautiful art style. Monster Pulse is just- it's about kids whose organs exist outside of their bodies as fighting monsters. It sounds goofy but it's actually really heartfelt (no pun intended) and intense. And Misfits of Avalon is vastly underappreciated. It's about delinquent magical girls with most of the story alluding to European (primarily British) mythology. |

I've never hate-read a webcomic. The exception being TwoKinds, which I read for about a chapter.
Oh, and I think you'd like some of the ones I mentioned above. |

I've read some of Ava's Demon and Gunnerkrigg Court. I had a difficult time understanding what was going on in Ava's Demon. Gunnerkrigg was quite charming -- but didn't really keep my attention.

Ava's Demon was difficult to process for me. I'm surprised you've never heard of Nimona. I've heard it's getting some sort of adaptation. (Movie?)
I would also try Templar, AZ. It's kind of an alt. history, slice-of-life deal. All character-driven. |

The woman who illustrates it has several other projects, however. The comic now "updates whenever." Which is unfortunate, as it was actually coming to a climactic point.
