Another element could have 3 characters instead of 2. Which element would you want to have 3 characters and what character would be the repose? Considering it goes like Fire with 2 new one and 1 repose.

As I keep saying I'd really like to see Chill be apart of Superchargers. Not to mention we need more female characters.
People keep wanting Sunburn but i'm guessing the 4 legged characters are pretty much out of the question for this game. I'll go with Torch.

But it still doesn't mean new elements, also that would be pretty silly since they JUST released Light and Dark. That might just mean uneven distribution in the elements,kinda like last year where some got more reposes than new skylanders and vice versa.

Hmm I just thought that Bowser and D.K. were in addition to the 20 count. SO 20 for most and 22 for some. So us Sony or Microsoft players are only getting 18? That seems odd.

But a lot of people won't have access to those last two. Their site says 20 Super Chargers and 20 Vehicles. If that number includes Bowser and D.K. it won't hold true for about a good portion of us. I just assumed the Nintendo exclusive would bring the count up to 22 for Nintendo users. I've watched all the SkyDad videos and I can't find where it was said there were only 1 Light and 1 Dark Vehicle and Super Charger. It's not the end of the world but it would seem weird if Light and Dark only get one entry each.

^ Ahhh found it, thanks....That's BALLS!!!! btw. WTF Activision?!? There should be a * next to that 20 number. Is it me or do they seem to be doing this whole Light & Dark thing kind of half-assed? I'm not expecting 10 of each to catch up but one of each of the new elements and 2 I can never play included in the overall head count...yeah this holiday shopping season will be fun for retailers...and clueless grandparents/parents/aunts/uncles/brothers/sisters.

Well, if you remember the Light/Dark element history when Cloudcracker Prison blew up, those elements were created, so there aren't as many characters of Dark and Light element as the rest of them, so it might be possible that DK and Bowser are the last 2 Superchargers

They were not created,they were unsealed. The destruction of the Core of Light sealed the elements away in specific Realms, and the Dark and Light Skylanders were trapped along. The explosion of the Cloudcracker Prision screwed up the fabric of space and undid the damage. In his minicomic Knight Light also mentions nearly losing hope while stranded, so it's also possible not all Dark and Light Skylanders had the will to do the return journey(yet?).

They're technically Amiibos, so they're more than likely only around for this game.

It would be a little stupid to take spots from 2 Skylanders in favor of 2 guests.

It's not stupid at all. We were told 20 new landers, and it makes perfect sense for DK and Bowser to be 2 of those landers. If they had said 18 landers, then added these 2, no one would be saying Acti must have another 2 landers to make up for it. Why is this different?

And how do you get that they are only around for this game as 'more then likely'? Them being Amiibos as well has nothing to do with it. If they sell well, why wouldn't Acti/Nintendo doing it again with even more figures. If they don't sell well, or the agreement was for one game only, or the two companies just can't work out an extension of the agreement, then yes, it would be one game only. However, you don't know anything at all about any of those factors.

36 universal characters + vehicles + 4 Nintendo exlcusives = 40 (20 Characters and their vehicles), finding out there's only 1 light and 1 dark makes me 100% certain this is the case

This math is not difficult to figure out, no one anywhere has said Bowser and DK aren't part of the stated 20, thinking otherwise assumes nobody at Activision can count. Like I said in the other thread, if it weren't for DK and Bowser they'd be saying "36 new characters + vehicles" so assuming they took the place of other planned characters shows a deep misunderstanding of how video games are made.

It's called giving an opinion, which is basically the point of a discussion.

I don't claim to know what they're going to do, so please don't make the assumption that it's what i'm trying to say.

If they make more, they make more, if they don't who really cares?

I don't believe the amiibo are part of the 20 Superchargers number, mainly because I think they were talking specifically about the cross platform Skylanders at that point. I could be wrong, but I think we're likely to just get an uneven number from each element.
