Games You've Really Gotten Into for a While [CLOSED]

Today I was just thinking about how every once in a while I get really into a game, play it every day, get really good, gradually drift off, and 5 years later wonder what the hell happened. For me this has happened with Time Crisis 4, Halo Reach, Guitar Hero 2, Mario Kart 8, and maybe a few others I haven't thought of. What got me thinking of this was when I started playing Guitar Hero 2 again in anticipation for Guitar Hero Live, and utterly failed one of the easiest songs on medium difficulty, when I used to be crazy good at that game.

Skylanders Trap Team, and this used to have been replaced earlier in the Skylanders Series, but somewhere in between the games, I played a whole ton of The World Ends With You. I stopped playing it for years, and when I picked it up again, I miserably failed, so I restarted the story (no I didn't reset the game, there is an option to replay chapters) on hard, and gradually got my skills back up. Time really does wonders to your skills...bad wonders, but wonders nonetheless.

Crash Team Racing, Spyro Ripto's Rage, Spyro A Hero's Tail, Animal Crossing and a few others have all done this and it usually lasts about a month or three. (I still really love the first three though. To be honest I have completed Spyro Ripto's Rage 100% to many times than I should have. (Lost count....) First Spyro game I got 100% complete too.~ (Though... Year of the Dragon was my first Spyro so...))

I haven't played a Pokemon game in years because I got bored of the series. I've been playing on my 3DS a lot recently and decided to buy Pokemon X. I'm enjoying it so far and now play it whenever I get the chance.
