DK's vehicle is different element than DK?

The main page says DK is life but The barrel Blaster is Tech. How does that work?

I guess it just does. Vehicles aren't really getting any kind of experience bonus so it might just have a different element because of its theme.

I don't know the reasoning, but I have a few guesses as to why. One thing to note is that terrains seem to be tied to elements. Fire, Earth, Undead and Tech are Land Vehicles - Air, Life and Light are Sky Vehicles - Water, Magic and Dark are Sea Vehicles.

I guess part of the reason was to keep that aspect consistent across all elements. Another part of the reason may be elemental balance - it's more balanced with 4/8 core elements having a single additional figure than 2/8 core elements having two additional figures. Light and Dark are already off-balance, thus not included in this count.

Could also be that they decided on characters and vehicles first, then gave them fitting elements afterwards. Bowser's vehicle doesn't really look like it belongs in Fire, but it's perfect for Air. DK's vehicle could fit for Life, and it looks very techy with all the mechanical parts, so it works better (plus there's the Terrain/Element part I mentioned above).

Phoenix Crystal is the best unreleased Crystal.
Skylanders Academy Season 2 was an improvement.
I don't know what to think of Skylanders' future.

VV started Dual Element gates, maybe we will see that again here.

I think the gates go off the Vehicle element rather than the driver.

So if Stealth Elf drove a Fire vehicle up to a Fire gate it would possibly still open.
