Besides Mario's villains, what other franchises would you like to see cross over with Siylanders?
I'd like to see;
Pokemon-Just imagine having Charizard shrek some Chompies, or Team Rocket's Meowth to claw his way to victory?

Kameo for Xbox.

Crash for PS4.

But this should only be a novelty, not an overtake by guest characters. Just like in Mortal Kombat. It's cool to have guests that make sense and fit as an added bonus, but not when they take spots away from the actual franchises characters.

As much I would like to see Pokemon in Skylanders, I don't think it'll happen because Game Freak and TPCI.

Sonic on the other hand, I could see happening.

Oh yeah, I cetainly agree. As long as there is less than 25% crossover characters I'm fine. Heck like 4 or 5 per game would suffice.

I'm happy with any guest star, as long as they are well made, get some little changes to make them Skylander-ish, receive a deeper and more coherent lore than "we needed them so here they are" and, for Eon, Kaos and Noodles sake are not console exclusives.

Ok it doesn't help that I think all Mario and Sonic games are crap, but even if I didn't I just don't think it's a good fit. Leave that blending of franchises to Disney IMO.

I'd be fine with Crash, really. But if we had to have one for every major console - Add King Dedede as an Amiibolander, Crash characters as "Sony", Banjo-Kazooie as MS. Then we'd have several revived mascots in the same franchise, plus Nintendo guys.

Not a big fan of the crossovers, but I admit that I like the looks of DK & Bowser. If they continue with crossovers, I would prefer they not be platform specific.

I do not personally like the mish-mash of franchises in Smash, nor PS All-Stars Battle Royale, PS Move Heroes, LEGO Dimensions (though I'd die for some of those franchises to get full-fledged LEGO games), Disney Infinity or Disney Universe. Can't think of any others right now, but while it's not something for me, I can see why other people like it, and I don't condemn them for existing.

As for Skylanders, I'm okay with a few characters here and there, since they're completely optional. Bowser is amazing, don't personally like DK. It all boils down to the opinions, as usual.

None. Skylanders are cool because they are original characters. I wouldn't want Bowser or Donkey Kong even if I owned a Nintendo console.

NONE. But, I'm fine with DK and Bowser, as long as we don't keep doing this moving forwards. Because one of the things that sets Skylanders apart is that every character (except Spyro and Cynder) are thought up, and new. DI and amiibo are just marketing you the same characters that have been around for years.

Don't care of it is Skylanders or Amiibo's I want a Shantae figure.

As happy as I am that me and my fellow Nintendo fans get some exclusive content, I do feel kinda bad that this is pretty much the short end of the stick for anyone who plays Skylanders on anything but a Nintendo console. They should have put in some exclusive characters for other systems, like Ratchet and Clank for PlayStation players, or Conker for Xbox players (toned down to be family-friendly, of course).

Exactly what I feel, they're going against what was one of their selling points in the beginning. I have a Wii U, but I feel bad for people with other systems that want these figures, but can't have them because they won't work. >.>

I agree with your rationale, but I would like to point out that the true winners here are owners of the Wii U. 2 of 3 Nintendo versions are racing only, which Wii U can play. Everyone else has the complete game without the borrowed characters which the Wii U will get. Best of both worlds.

I also happen to be a bit of a purist when it comes to things like this. Mario characters belong in Mario games. Same goes for Disney and Skylanders. I don't want dino-rang to be remade as a Lego for that game, nor do I want the Avengers showing up in Skylands. While I understand the business thinking, as a fan of the series what should make me want these guys beyond the "because they made them" reason?

No I'm not asking for anything. I'm talking about sometime in the future, having Crash or some other group joining the Skylanders. This is pretty much about anything but the halflings.

While more console exclusive characters are like, 99% unlikely to happen, I think more crossovers would be cool.

Sony
Ratchet and Clank (Tech): They're two of Sonys' major mascots and were created by insomniac games (the creators of Spyro 1-3).

Crash Bandicoot (Air/Life/Tech): Vicarious Visions made a couple of his games including the crossover with Spyro. Though this is least likely to happen because a lot of Crash fans on various websites hate Skylanders and VV said Crash becoming one isn't likely to happen.

Microsoft
Banjo-Kazooie (Magic/Earth/Life): Their world is wacky and magical enough to crossover with Skylanders since they use to share a universe with Donkey Kong.

Kameo (Magic/Life): She can fit in with elf characters in either the magic or life elements.

I agree Sonic the Hedgehog characters could work really well. Sonic would be Air, Tails would be Tech, Shadow could be magic, darkness, or maybe even Undead, Blaze would be Fire, Knuckles would be Earth, Amy could be Life I guess, Chaos could be Water (now that's a figure we'd all buy), Silver could be magic, and so on. A cross-over game where they're actively involved in the story could work really good as well... or be butchered horribly.
